Seriously Tempting {and healthy} Valentine's Treats Galore
Valentine's Day is right around the corner and that means chocolate! Satisfy your sweet tooth the healthy way with these Healthy Valentine Treats that are sure to please--all gluten-free and refined sugar-free too!
Valentine's Day typically means sugar-laden candy and treats galore.
Not great stuff to have lying around the house, right?
But there is a better way.
These Healthy Valentine Treats can make this Valentine's Day one you can celebrate without blowing your healthy-eating plans. Your Valentine's Day treats don't have to be laden with white sugar and white flour.
In fact, it doesn't make sense. We're trying to show folks we love them, right?
Giving them treats made with fake food isn't a great way to show love--in my humble opinion.
Come check out the great assortment of recipes I've gathered from some of my favorite whole foodies bloggers--including a few from me.
Most of these recipes are already free of many common allergens and some are grain-free. So check them all out regardless of your dietary needs!
If you need to make substitutions, here are several great options to help make these recipes work for you:
- Homemade Nut and Seed Butter (to sub for an allergen).
- Powdered Egg Replacer
- Homemade Coconut Milk or Easiest Almond Milk for dairy.
- Almond flour for buckwheat or cassava flour.
- Stevia (see How to Use Stevia), xylitol, and erythritol (to sub for a sweetener that is higher in carbs).
- Homemade Chocolate Chips
