Are you wondering if smart meters are safe? Trying to sort through the claims about smart meter dangers? Here is information you should know about the potential risks involved with these meters and how they might affect your health and privacy.

We've had to go against the norm many times in our quest for better health. I've gone sugar free, gluten free, stopped eating foods my breastfeeding son was allergic to, and have tried all kinds of natural treatments in order to avoid antibiotics and other meds when dealing with conditions such as sinus issues and earaches.
Now I'm not getting a smart meter.
Why not?
If it's “smart”, it must be a good thing, right?
Well, when I was younger, I was called smart in school. Most of the time it was a compliment. Well, sometimes it wasn't but my mom told me those kids were jealous. It didn't feel like it but in hindsight I think she was right.
Anyways, in most cases you'd like to be the smart kid in class.
And when people say “you look smart” they mean you look nice.
(I guess folks say “sweet” and such these days…..but that's beside the point.)
So how about a Smart Meter? Are smart meters safe?
Must be a good thing.
Think again.
There are a lot of smart meter dangers that you need to know about.
I got a notice in my mailbox about 3 weeks ago stating:
YOUR UPGRADED METER IS COMING.
ENERGY THAT WORKS SMARTER FOR YOU.
THAT'S OUR PROMISE TO MICHIGAN.
and another letter than said something like (this one I must have thrown out):
Congratulations! Smart Meters will be coming to your neighborhood in the near future.
I guess that's supposed to make me feel good about this Smart Meter coming to my house.
But I am not.
I'd heard about smart meters, but I didn't know much about them so I started to poke around.
It's not typical for me to be excited about some technology thingamabob being added to my home without my knowing anything about it.
I didn't like what I found.
Now let me tell you the truth. (Not that I typically–or ever–lie to you all or anything.)
I read A LOT. And I talked to a bunch of folks on the phone.
And I spent a lot of time emailing experts about smart meter dangers and EMFs (one who wrote a post that I will share here soon).
I read articles on both sides of the topic and I even called my electric company several times.
Today's post is the result of my having digested all of these conversations and emails.
And I've come to the conclusion that–
I DON'T WANT A SMART METER ON MY HOME.
And neither should you.
First of all, let's talk about what a Smart Meter (NOT a good name for this thing, by the way) is:
What is a Smart Meter?
A Smart Meter (also called AMI or AMR) is a type of meter designed to eliminate meter readers (can you say “more unemployment”?). It's a fairly expensive piece of wireless machinery that send information about your energy use (how much you are using at different times of the day) to your utility company.
They relay data about your energy.
Proponents of these meters say that they will be used to show consumers how much energy they use at certain times of day and that they will help them budget their energy use (and therefore money) better.
Opponents say there are many risks involved.
After doing literally tens of hours of research, I've come to the conclusion that:
I DO NOT WANT A SMART METER ON MY HOME!!
Here's why.
7 Smart Meter Dangers
1. Health
There are sooo many health problems with these smart meters.
Basically we're talking about the same effects of EMFs (electromagnetic fields).
Now we all know that EMFs have been in the news a lot and that there is a lot of evidence mounting about the health risks of such radiation from microwaves, cell phones, WIFI, and the like.
In case you haven't seen some of this, or aren't convinced of it, following are some health conditions that are reported to be as a result of EMF exposure (Source)
- Insomnia
- Heart palpitations and blood pressure increases
- Ringing in the ears
- Concentration, memory or learning problems
- Dangerous increases in blood-sugar levels
- Strange sensations in the body—including buzzing, shooting pains
- Anxiety and/or an anxious feeling in the body that is inexplicable
- Fatigue
- Flu-like symptoms
Scientists have shown that the electromagnetic frequencies emitted by smart meters and digital meters:
- disrupt the blood-brain barrier, contributing to diseases like dementia and Parkinson’s
- disrupt nerve transmission, causing attention-related problems, insomnia, heart palpitations, and muscle pain
- disrupt cell reproduction and damage DNA, causing cancer and rapid aging
- disrupt the redox balance through oxidant/nitrosative stress
And here's a biggie.
CANCER.
The World Health Organization (WHO) as classified the radiation that comes from Smart Meters as a potential carcinogen, in the same class as DDT and lead. (Source) Now, I am not always in agreement with the WHO, but in this case I am listening.
And besides, even if you think that the FCC has protected you enough with their limits on human exposure to microwave radiation, Smart Meters have been known to exceed the FCC limits.
There's been a lot of debate out there about whether or not this type of radiation (RF, or radio frequency waves) causes cancer or not, but some of the studies coming out are quite compelling. This recent one from Sweden being one of them.
I think of it like this. Years ago:
– we were told that cigarettes were healthy (they were even promoted as a way to have a lower weight baby). We know better now.
– we were told that fluoride should be in our drinking water. That is being called into question.
– we were told that RoundUp would evaporate and not cause harm. We know better now.
It seems that these EMFs are a big deal and we are just starting to see the damage.
If you REALLY want to read some downright frightening and well-done research about EMF radiation and health problems, the BioInitiative Report will keep you busy for awhile.
For me, this is all a HUGE deal, considering that the Smart Meter would be right by my sons' bedroom.
Nice, huh?
2. Privacy
The data collected from Smart Meters is detailed.
And it's worth money.
Think about it.
Data is ALWAYS worth money. Companies pay BIG money for information on your buying habits, for your email address, and more.
Technically, according to one of the Smart Meter experts I talked with, Smart Meters could track what TV shows you watch, and potentially what food you eat, if your refrigerator is equipped with “Smart” technology. The fridge could scan your Ben and Jerry's and potentially report this to healthcare corporations. Perhaps it's a good idea to start making your own Homemade Ice Cream!
YIKES!
These are the potential privacy concerns regarding Smart Meters (Source):
Identity Theft
Determine Personal Behavior Patterns
Determine Specific Appliances Used
Perform Real-Time Surveillance
Reveal Activities Through Residual Data
Targeted Home Invasions (latch key children, elderly, etc.)
Provide Accidental Invasions
Activity Censorship
Decisions and Actions Based Upon Inaccurate Data
Profiling
Unwanted Publicity and Embarrassment
Tracking Behavior Of Renters/Leasers
Behavior Tracking (possible combination with Personal Behavior Patterns)
Public Aggregated Searches Revealing Individual Behavior
In California, the sharing of this type of data is already going on.
transparency reports filed by the California utilities companies and obtained by the ACLU of California show that a significant amount of data about the energy use of Californians is also ending up in the hands of third parties. In 2012, a single California utility company, San Diego Gas & Electric, disclosed the smart meter energy records of over 4,000 of its customers.
Interestingly enough, there is a BIG movement in California against Smart Meters, while Marin County has criminalized the installation of Smart Meters.
Perhaps this is a smart response?
Yes, modern conveniences can help with some things, but are we trading our freedom for convenience?
We really need to count the cost.
3. Fire Risk
There have been hundreds of fires caused by Smart Meters.
You can see some of the horrible photos and information about smart meter fires here, here, and here.
I have not been able to find a source of analog meters causing fires. Additionally, here is a quote from Mindy Spatt of TURN (The Utility Reform Network) regarding analog fires:
Comparing analog to the new meters, she added, “In the collective memory of TURN, we have not seen similar incidents with analog meters.”
In fact, if you do an internet search of “fires caused by analog meters,” all that shows up is report after report of Smart Meter fires.
Moreover, here's something you might be surprised to hear: Most (if not all) Smart Meters are NOT UL Certified.
Now, how smart is that?
Which begs the question – if your house causes fire due to one of these meters, will your homeowners insurance pay for it since the device is not UL certified? I called my homeowners' insurance company to find out.
They told me that in my case, my insurance would NOT be cancelled, but that if a fire were to be caused by the meter, they would go after the utility company for reimbursement.
They did advise, however, that every insurance company is different, so you should check with your homeowners' carrier to find out their stance on this issue.
4. Lack of Energy Savings
These Smart Meters are supposed to save us money.
Well, none of this savings has been proven, and in fact, there are some pretty important people saying that they think the savings simply aren't going to happen. (Source)
– “It costs too much, and we're not sure what good it will do.” – John Rowe, CEO of Illinois utility ComEd.
– “[Smart meter] deployment . . . allows utilities to lower operating costs while increasing revenues.” – Frost & Sullivan
– “No net economic benefit to ratepayers.” Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette (yea for my home state!)
– “Smart-meter conversion represents little more than a boondoggle that is being foisted on consumers by the politically influential companies that make the hardware and software that are required for the smart-meter conversion.” – Consumers Digest
In one poll I read, (site seems to be having trouble so link was removed) about 1/3 of the people who had Smart Meters installed had an increase in energy costs, and one quarter saw their costs double, triple, or more.
This article talks about one citizen who found much higher bills as well.
Hmmm…doesn't sound so good now, does it?
5. Personal Safety
Something to consider–if this data tells what electricity you are or aren't using, couldn't hackers get this information and know whether or not you are home or whether your kids are home alone?
Seems like a valid concern.
6. Legal, Constitutional and Human Rights Violations
Our Constitution has been shredded recently by many government officials and courts.
Should we let it go even further?
So now we have utility companies forcing this technology on us that:
1. Is a health risk
2. Is a violation of privacy
3. Is a fire hazard
4. Costs too much
5. Has no real benefit
6. Potentially puts our personal safety at risk
Can you think of anything else that a corporation or government entity forces you to put on your house?
And you need to pay money if you don't want it?
This huge list of violations will really get you thinking.
7. Exorbitant Cost
Check in your area how much money your utility want to charge you for not getting a Smart Meter.
Our charges in Michigan were really high and our Attorney General pressured the utilities to reduce their fees, which they did.
Now, our utility wants about $69 to opt out of the Smart Meter program, plus $9.72 a month.
Forever.
That amounts to about $120 a year for something I don't want, that:
– puts my family at risk for health issues
– seems to be a fire hazard
– violates my privacy
– quite possibly doesn't save any money (in other words, it doesn't do what it's supposed to do)
– puts our personal safety at risk
– violates the Constitution, plus comes with legal and human rights concerns
– has overpriced fees associated with not taking it
Conclusion
Whatever a smart meter is, I don't want it.
I hope to share with you what happened when I called our local electric company and told them that I didn't want their “Smart Meter.”
Seriously, instead of calling it a Smart Meter, I think I'll call it a “Dumb Meter” or “Invasive Meter” or “Cancer Causing Big Brother Technology Doohickey.”
So now the questions are:
1. I don't want a Smart Meter. What should I do next?
2. I have a Smart Meter already. What can/should I do?
I hope to tackle all of these questions, including:
– sharing with you what happened to me when I contacted my local electric utility and told them I didn't want a Smart Meter
– what I have done about Smart Meters coming to my neighborhood
– what I am planning to do
I hope you all will help get the word out. Even if you have a Smart Meter installed, it's not too late.
Protect Yourself from EMFs
I will be adding some different options for protecting yourself from the damaging effects of EMFs.
1. Limit EMF Exposure
One thing that our family does is limit EMF exposure as much as possible. We still have some work to do but we love the protective devices from DefenderShield.
We use their Cell Phone Cases & Laptop Shields and I feel so much better knowing that we are protecting ourselves this way.
2. Know Your Risks
It's a great idea to have an EMF Meter to measure different devices and areas of your home.
Here are two options:
This EMF meter was recommended to me by a blogger friend who is very concerned about such things and seems like a great option. It's mentioned by a lot of people as being a solid model.
TriField EMF Meter Model TF2
This EMF meter is the one we have in our home. It's a bit more expensive than some, but it's the one most often recommended by EMF specialists.
It measures not only radiation from 4G and 5G, but also from Cell Towers, WiFi routers, Bluetooth, AC Powerlines, and Smart Meters.
Here's a more affordable option that has great reviews as well. One of my friends has it and really likes it.
Hopefully you don't have a smart meter, or if you do, you can get it removed from your house. If you can't, here's a Smart Meter Shield to help protect you from the EMFs it's emitting.
4. Get a Router Shield
Your WiFi router is one of the strongest sources of WiFi in your home. A router shield like this one can help shield you from EMFs while allowing your router to work.
5. Consider Eco-friendly Routers and More
This company has some highly regarded more eco-friendly routers, baby monitors, and more. A great option for reducing exposure in your home.
6. Reduce the Effects of EMFs
What if your jewelry could counteract the effects of EMFs?
This LOVELY interchangeable jewelry addresses the energy depletion of cells that comes from EMFs and even possibly repels mosquitos to boot! The pieces look amazing (the online photos of the individual products don't do them justice.
I love the Zen base, this base, and this bracelet. They have women, men, children, and pet pieces too.
The Boxed Sets are a great way to get started and save.
My oldest notices he's sleeping better with them, my youngest has noticed that his hands don't bother him anymore when he's on a device, and I have a lot more energy.
Comment or reach out at adrienne {at} wholenewmom {dot} com if you need any help picking things out. Also if you order on Party 550, I will be doing a drawing for a free piece.
I'll have more ways you can get involved in future posts so make sure to sign up for blog post updates so you don't miss anything.

Adrienne, I am looking for the follow up information/links/sources of what to do if smart meter is already installed? Since installing our smart meter approx 4 yrs ago (it is on the outside wall of my bedroom that the our bed is up against) I have had chest palps/severe insomnia/anxiety/inability to balance hormones that I have spent $$$$ on trying to figure out what is causing it. I am so grateful to come across this article. I am having difficulty finding any info on how to get meter removed without paying the high fee $175 plus $20 (in TX) monthly.I also understand that you have to be extremely careful with shields as you can actually draw even higher EMF to your house. Immune compromised people are more sensitive. My neighbors 14 yr old for example has become increasingly ill since we had our meter installed (they opted out). Any tips would be appreciated. For the doubters here are some other links: https://emfanalysis.com https://it-takes-time.com windheimemfsolutions.com . 3 of my kiddos also are experiencing many symptoms since installation.
Hi there. I would look on this site. I know of people who have had them removed. I am personal friends w/ the gal who runs the It Takes Time blog and she has written posts for this site. https://stopsmartmeters.org/how-you-can-stop-smart-meters/
Wow Im glad i found you today after what I just went through. BUT have a question. So 3 weeks ago I get the letter and my 21 year old son said MOM DO NOT LET THEM DO THIS!!! So I know my son researched this whole smart meter thing and kept telling me about it. So I called and declined the installation of new meter. Im working on a major research paper today on computer and I hear a loud banging on my living room window, not a knock on my door, the window. I go to door, which I never open front door to anyone who knocks because anyone who knows us knows to use side door near drive and sidewalk. Anyway I go to door look through window no ones there, nothing was in driveway, but i still went to side door and nothing or noone was there either. I go back to front door and back to side door nothing, I go back to work on overdue assignment and BAM no power, I was livid I lost my work. Must redo. I go immediately to side door thinking com ed mistakenly turned me off (they’ve done that before and was hell and a day or so to get on and it was neighbors who were to be hit without even an apology) So I see this man in protective wear, thick gloves and a surgeon like mask over his whole face and he has my meter in his hands and I opened door saying hey what the hell you doing I opted out weeks ago he said he had no clue I demanded he put my old meter back on which I think he did ( I should of stayed and watched yes I know but was in jammies and embarassed you know how girls are when someone sees you in morning without makeup lol) and my power was back on in 3 minutes (except I’m pissed on loss of homework asst.,.which I expressed and he commented how he knocked and waited few minutes and no answer but was gone in a split second I was only 4 ft from front door on couch) So I go out an hour later I see I have no analog meter but I swear the piece he put on is new brand spanking new it is all shinny and clean new screws yada yada, is it possible he still put in something that can be considered a smart meter? please help me figure this out and how will I be able to fight if my bill goes up I should not have to pay extra for something I am not getting and on SSI and barely can make these outrageous fees to begin with. Thank you
sorry I have the wheel its not digital its the piece behind the plate that is brand new my house was built in 1950 and has a low wattage box
Thanks for reading and commenting. I hope you are able to do something about this. Thanks!
If you want to trash the emf from anything like a smart meter use a Faraday cage. Surround the object with a cage of fine wire mesh and earth it. This disables the radiation.
Radiofrequency radiation is kind of unpredictable. I’ve heard of at least one person who I think tried this and it actually made the problem worse.
Thank you for taking the time to put the case for not allowing Smart Meter(s) to be installed. Typically, this side of the big pond, we are all driven by the need to diminish our carbon footprint (is that the terminology here)?) There is the question of peer pressure and utility company pressure. You hit it on the head; Smart doesn’t always mean the same thing when applied to technology.if the research you outline stacks up. I shall be rethinking the merits of allowing such meters to be installed. Thank you.
Bruce’s comments below are not very flattering to your debate. Whether or not he has a point / points to raise he shouldn’t attempt to mock your concerns about such devices. They certainly smart of ‘big brother watching us’. Inthe U.K., we are encouraged to submit electronic meter readings (pre Smart meters, that is) YET can still be expected to allow meter readers into our premises periodically! Why? I accept that the utility companies have a legal right to examine the meters once a year.
Thanks for reading and for the kind words. I still don’t want one on my house. There are all kinds of folks upset about it here.
Indeed Alex, smart meters are NOT so smart, & for many reasons.
Please note that you can refuse one, & also send notification of this refusal via this site. Also look up the documentary ‘ Take back your power ‘ .
Personally having done years of research myself on various topics after being seriously injured by taking a fluoroquinolone so called ‘antibiotic’ ( really a topoisomerase inhibitor, a failed chemo drug masquerading as such ) which actually causes DNA damage / mitochondrial toxicity, has caused serious iatrogenic injury to untold numbers of people worldwide, often long lasting potentially permanent, & which has actually disabled me for life, the dangers of which have been kept withheld from our Drs for 30 years by Big Pharma, dangers the FDA have at last been forced to admit exist, I KNOW that they hide things from us , so myself I ALWAYS research subjects from both sides, & I do this research in depth , particularly when it comes to anything that may potentially harm me or my loved ones .
I would definitely recommend that you do this research too in depth in respect of those so called Smart meters, as there are a LOT of things they are not telling us about them .
(Link deleted by Whole New Mom due to it not working anymore)
You do realize that the analog meter runs off of electromagnetic energy. I’ve had a smart meter on my house for over 2 years and also one on my wife’s business. Our bills stayed relatively the same no fires no head aches no sleepless nights or any illness. This all sounds like crazy talk to me but I’m just one person.
this was an amazingly written post, thank you so much for posting about this you’re seriously doing your part in waking up humanity, i love you, do you have instagram, check mine out @connecting_consciousness !
Thank you for the kind words. I do: https://www.instagram.com/thewholenewmom/
After read your dlog on smart meter I hope it never gets to west Virginia . I agree with you we have enough to worry adout. Children should be our first concern. I will continue to read what you find. Thanks I never heard of smart meter.
Yes I did read about.
You are fortunate it isn’t there yet :(. Be prepared.
Could this be so they can keep track of us as well. The Government is planning something. I do not trust them. They are not looking out for us they are trying to control us.
Yes – did you read this? https://www.wired.com/2012/03/petraeus-tv-remote/
The step you must take before you can control is to have surveillance.
Companies in Maine crammed them down our throats. One was put on my home and was supposed to be transmitted back to the office. I found out that the info was not being transmitted out but was being read by a meter reader. I caught them several times leaving my driveway and I wondered why. I called the company and asked why and they tried to tell me that no one had been here and it was being transmitted. I fought with them about it and finally they fessed up and said that it was not being transmitted because it had no transmitter on it. My guess would be that we do not get a signal here because of all of the mountains around us. I know the ambulances can not get out on the relay equipment here and have to use our land line. I asked for my old box with the wheel on it back and OMG for the tune of a $ 40.00 fee, yes they would put it back but there was an additional $ 12.00 fee per month on my bill for as long as it stayed there. I really don’t think that it is fair that we don’t have the right to refuse before they are put on and then they penalize us for not taking it. The company for warned people there would be repercussions for not taking the meters. I hope to someday put in a wind mill or some other type of self sustaining power for my home. It will be worth it so NO ONE can any longer tell us what we can and can not do.
It’s not good. I called about getting solar power and they said we need a smart meter to transmit our usage to the electric company. So that might not work :(.
They lied to you. Smart meter are not able to work with alternative energy sources.
Really? I talked w/ someone else who said that she knew about this.
The first thing 0bama did when he took office was to hand out billions of tax dollars to the states and electric utility companies so they would have to force these made-in-China wireless transceivers on the entire population of the USA. The technology being forced on us.. and that 0bama is spending 7 billion annually of our tax dollars on… is obsolete. Other countries are using fiber optic, which is safe, secure, and 19 times faster that wireless. 0bama is using up money that should be used to make America strong .. After we spend all our money on obsolete technology we won’t have the money to recover and buy all new modern technology. Just like 0bama care is a made for profit inferior health care…. these 0bama meters are for China’s profits … and inferior to the rest of the world…. Even China has fiber optic.. and yet, China is making stupid wireless smart meters to send to the USA… Gee thanks Mr. President…
Do you have information you can share with us about the fiber optic meters and how you know that other countries have them? Thank you!
I bet you felt the symptoms of the radio in the smart meter even though you found it did not have one. You would never admit that is was all in your head though, Does your cell phone make you ill? Does your microwave make you ill? Does your computer make you ill? Do the electronics in your car make you ill? Does watching TV, walking into Wallmart or any store with cameras and wireless networks and fluorescent lighting.? I bet it could be confirmed that less than 1% of the EMF radiation that any person takes in is from the smart meter. And about those lost jobs….How about the Horseshoe Makers, the Telegraph Operators, the Pony Express riders….and thousands more from the past and many more to come such as Taxi Drivers with driverless cars. Ambulance Drivers due to the huge amount of crashes that wont happen, And think of the poor Doctors that will be out of work. New car sales will plummet, as will the Salesmen, the Auto Body repair industry, Policemen, Judges, Bailbondsmen, Lawers, Undertakers, Coffin builders, Gravediggers……Wont that suck? All those people out of work……But on the bright side, Tinfoil Hat makes will have plenty of business..
Hi there. Bryan – not nice to insult people.
Here is a video comparing cell phones to smart meters: https://stopsmartmeters.org/2011/09/04/comparing-cell-phone-and-smart-meter-radiation/
Modern TVs emit very little EMFs: https://emwatch.com/tv-radiation/
Also, you can turn off your cell phone and wifi, but you can’t turn off the smart meter.
As for the other things that you listed I would have to do more research. The point is, buying and using those other things are a person’s choice and they might be able to handle them in those amounts but can’t handle the overload once a meter is forced on their home. Does that make sense? I don’t like fluorescent light and choose not to purchase it for my home. I use an ethernet whenever possible 1% estimate is likely totally incorrect given the articles I linked to above.
This also is all about sensitivity. There are some people who aren’t bothered by such things. I used to think autism and food allergies were all in people’s heads — until it touched my family. Perhaps you should count your blessings that you don’t have these issues.
NO SMART METER WANTED!!!! How to STOP Consumers energy from installing on my home!!!! FREAKS me out….Totally unconstitutional….People need to be informed, and frankly anyone I have spoken with about this is UNAWARE!!! The consequences are too BIG….each CONCERN is VALID!!! I love my health, and want to keep it, I like my privacy, I want to keep that as well….we need not to be imposed on, we need NOT to be penalized for not wanting such a terrible device placed upon us….after all the research I have done…smart meters are not smart at all, for any of us….We all need to fight against this and keep hold of the analogs that work….those meter readers, this is their bread and butter…their jobs are taken away…another reason these are not SMART!!!! I will write, speak out, place a sign on my meter that I want to OPT out of SMART METER or DIGITAL—SAME THING!!! KEEP the ANALOG in tact!!!!!! This needs more attention….say NO to SMART METERS…they are really DUMB!!!
Have you got a sign on your meter that you don’t want it? I have heard you should send a registered letter to them.
I knew this blog post was ridiculous when I started reading and reading and reading until you finally made the first point about 4 minutes in. I particularly like the list of security risks – it’s hilarious how you positioned it and then copy and pasted a list of things from somewhere. Do you even know what some of the things you listed are? And the health risks of a meter that pings a server from a location outside your home. Why didn’t you talk about how the same tech is already being used by devices that aren’t smart meters? And the best is the risk of fire. You said that smart meters caused hundreds of fires and that you’ve heard that non-smart meters can do the same but since you’ve never heard about it – poof! Who cares. Doesn’t exist because if you did talk about it then it would be a counterpoint to the (non) point you were attempting to make. What the heck people. There is nothing wrong with smart meters. They help a lot of people manage budgets. What the he’ll do you care? Why would you sensationalize issues that don’t even exis? I don’t have proof that what you’ve stated is wrong but who cares right? With you’re logic, I don’t need proof and neither do you.
Hello Bruce.
Thanks for commenting.
As for the 4 minutes in accusation, I assume you mean you didn’t care for the personal information. I think it’s a good lead in to why I am writing about them. If you just wanted the info, you of course didn’t need to read that part.
As for the problems that I cited, there are sources for them. Did you not notice them?
Regarding the analog meter fires, sorry but at this time I don’t recall where I heard of the issue so I am changing the post as I can’t find any sources for that.
If you have one, please feel free to share it.
Can you counter the sources that I cited with facts?
Happy to consider any information you can provide, however I would prefer no insults next time. Thank you kindly.
Wow. In Michigan here…had the brand new smart meter put on our home and later we kept smelling a burning smell and our light would flicker. Sure enough the wires from the smart meter into our home were melting and burning. When we called the company , they said that it’s not their problem, that they are only responsible for anything the smartmeter on out…and we are responsible for anything from the smartmeter inward….what a load of crap!!! Because of this new smart meter placed on our house we had to have all the wiring replaced inward to our electric board and also have the whole panel replaced because it couldn’t handle that kind of power surge happening because they came and put the meter on our home unbeknownst to us and we had power on in the home some kind of big opposite surge all at once or some sort of electrical talk….anyway, if we hadn’t caught it, yep, you guessed it….fire.
Now, We’ve moved since and now have a smart meter located right outside our bedroom. I can tell you right when they start upsurging the power on the thing in the early morning…because my entire body starts to vibrate within like if you put one of those little battery operated vibrating massagers onto your body. It makes my entire throat hurt and inside mucosa feel like its on fire. My ears start ringing a high pitch and it is driving me absolutely crazy. I can’t go anywhere in my home to get away from it or sleep. If I do happen to sleep, I wake up to all of this and when I try to get up , I can hardly move, as my joints feel so stiff like I’m an old lady. In fact, I think the radiation attacks your weakest bodily points the most first. My eyesight has deteriorated tremendously since being here and I have never worn glasses. I find myself starting to lose my words. I can recognize what I want to say, identify what it means and know I’ve used the word before, yet my brain won’t give me the word…I am noticing this so often and its scaring me. I have now, cysts found on my thyroid and now they have found one on each of my ovaries. I now have arthritis starting in both of my thumbs and my hair is starting to fall out. We are trying everything we can to alleviate the situation…why my husband can’t feel it , I don’t know. But I can tell, he is having acid reflux and when he wakes up I have noticed hair all around his pillow. Perhaps, since I do know that I have excess Aluminum built up in my body , maybe that has something to do with why I can actually “feel” it. We are putting up aluminum, buying mesh covers, using lead….nothing seems to be working. In fact, my husband thinks that since we put a mesh cover over the meter, that the company actually upped its pulse so now we are being bombarded with it. We have measured with 1 being cancer causing and we a 3.16 showing on the meter most mornings in our bedroom when this starts. It is not good. We don’t know what to do or who to contact. What if the electric company keeps upping the pulse and thinks that its funny to do that to people who ask?
You know, not everyone gets cancer in their life either, but yet it does exist. To say that problems with these meters don’t exist is just simply being selfish and ignorant. If it wasn’t for my feeling this vibration and my ears ringing…perhaps we wouldn’t have known of the high radiation reading within our home. We don’t even know what it is doing to all of us in the long run into the future the damage it may cause. My kids are complaining of their heads feeling stuffy every morning they wake up. And, my daughter has a patch now on her head of something psoriasis looking and she had a nickel size patch on the front of her scalp where her head is bald and the hair fell out. I, frankly, and really concerned and scared because we just can’t move at this time. You walk outside and the meter never reads below a 1. We have a school across the street and apartment building behind us and I can’t even imaging all the Wifi that we is surrounding us!
Oh no. Did you get connected with the groups trying to stop these? Have you gotten your house checked for mold? Just wondering.
Ha Ha, you should write fiction books. I think aliens would be more believable cause of your made up issues than the smart meter.
Troy, that’s rude. There are a lot of people who are sensitive to EMFs. The world is getting very confusing. I just saw a documentary that included a boy who is deathly allergic to something in Axe Body Spray and the company won’t tell his mother what’s in it b/c it’s “proprietary”. Pathetic.
“Blah blah blah a boy who is deathly allergic to something in Axe Body Spray and the company won’t tell his mother what’s in it”
Why does she need to know? What difference does it make?
Hi Chuck.
“Blah blah blah” about a boy almost dying from anaphylactic shock b/c of exposure to the stuff? It’s horrible. Have you ever witnesses an anaphylactic attack?
She of course needs to know so he can do his best to avoid that ingredient in any other products.
If it were you or your child I am sure you would demand the same thing. I say this as the mother of a child who has life threatening allergies to foods. Once you live it you are never the same.
Yeah….i would almost buy that Troy B if my husband wasn’t a doctor and I wasn’t an X-ray tech. We are educated people. I have never experienced anything like this. We are living at this premises temporarily only. However, it is located very near apartments and school and businesses. There is wifi and smartmeters all over the place. I would be skeptical too if I never experienced it for myself. But I do know, that I’d never discount what someone else is saying about experiencing something. We have no idea from one person to the next how the body, which itself runs on electrical impulses, reacts to certain stimuli. As with anything else , no one thing is the same. Even the military used emf’s for warfare … There must be something to this.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment. Yes, no one is the same. I used to think that people with food allergies and autistic children were making it up and that the food allergy people just wanted to be thin. Now both things are in our family and I know better. I didn’t know about emfs and warfare?
Bruce… it took you four minutes to get that far in and you’re slinging insults like you’re quick-witted?
Go Bruce!
Hi Huey.
Can you tell me what you think about my response to Bruce?
