These Vegan Thanksgiving Recipes are just what you need to have an amazingly delicious Thanksgiving both for vegans and non vegans alike.

Why Vegan Recipes for Thankgiving?

We used to be vegan. Cooking raw meat grossed me out, and we were on such a tight budget that we pretty much ate the "beans and rice" and "rice and beans" diet for a long time.

Beans and rice are lovely, and I got pretty creative with finding yummy ways to serve them (like this Lentil Curry and Bean Fudge for example) but eventually I felt that we needed some animal foods in our diet.

But our oldest was born with life-threatening allergies to dairy and egg. He tolerates butter, but otherwise, egg and dairy ingredients are out.

So we have made almost everything from scratch--especially since allergy-free foods weren't as readily available when he was young.

When I needed recipes for Thankgiving, I could look for "Dairy-free Thankgiving Recipes" or "egg-free Thanksgiving Recipes", but there aren't many lists like that. Doing a search for "Vegan Thanksgiving Recipe" is much simpler for me and yields a lot more yummy options.

So this list of Vegan Thanksgiving Recipes is just PERFECT for us--and I'm assuming that it will be for you as well.

PLUS, regardless of what your dietary needs are, these recipes look AHMAZING. I'm sure everyone can find something they would LOVE from this roundup.

Refined Sugar Options:

I should also mention that some of these recipes have regular or brown sugar as an ingredient. It's simple to replace that for a healthier option.

I recommend:

  • coconut sugar as a lower glycemic option
  • these low-carb Sweeteners if you are trying to eat lower-carb or keto

Thanks for the super round up. I am giving away two great prizes on my blog: a $50 gift certificate to my favorite jeweler robinsonlane.com and a copy of a new book published by fellow blogger, Kat Robinson. It is called Arkansas Pie: A Slice of the Natural State. I just know you will love either one. https://diningwithdebbie.blogspot.com/2012/11/2012-merry-merry-munchies-3-baked.html Come link up to enter.

I want to make it all too! Thanks for the well wishes. I am a good bit better today. Onward (though I did spend quite a small fortune on herbal remedies, etc. today. Oh the price to avoid antibiotics :-)).

Too much sugar - they are very bad for those of us w/ candida and/or blood sugar issues :).
