Christmas essential oil in a bottle with cinnamon sticks and pine cones around it

From the tree to cookies baking to cider, wassail, and eggnog, Christmas scents are a huge part of celebrating and experiencing the season.

Instead of using artificial fragrances in room sprays, and air fresheners, use pure essential oils to scent your home the natural way. You can of course purchase pre-made Christmas diffuser blends, but making your own holiday blends is easy to do, and it's fun as well. Plus you can make these for gifts that everyone will love.

How to Use These Blends

There are so many great ways to use these blends.

1) Use in your favorite essential oil diffuser like an ultrasonic diffuser (or reed diffuser).

2) Combine with a carrier oil like sweet almond oil or fractionated coconut oil and dilute to a safe level for use on your wrists or neck. You could also use these for a festive homemade essential oils body spray.

3) Drop the oils into a spray bottle filled with filtered water to make a room spray to use on sheets, towels, and air vents. Shake well before using or use an essential oil emulsifier to keep the oils evenly distributed in the water.

4) Put a few drops in essential oil jewelry.

5) Add the oil blends to homemade soap: either regular soap or homemade soap without lye.

Following are lots of holiday essential oil diffuser recipes with the number of drops of essential oils you'll need for each blend. Simply combine, use, and enjoy. They're practically Christmas cheer in a bottle!
