Mother's Day typically means flowers, right?

Not in my house… Unless they're wild flowers, that is :-).  The other kind costs too much and then dies.

Come on over to The Better Mom to find out some of my favorite Homemade Mother's Day picks from all over the internet. I am sure you'll find something to please you or the special mother in your life.

I'd love to hear, either here or over at The Better Mom, which gift you would most like to receive!

  1. It’s always nice to receive flowers – but for me, all I want for mother’s day is hugs and kisses from my girls and to not have to cook dinner!!! 🙂

Thanks for linking to a Round Tuit!
Hope you have a fabulous week!

  2. Great post for Mother’s day ideas!! We hope to see you back next week to our “Strut Your Stuff Saturday.” Thanks for coming!! -The Sisters

  3. I LOVE the bleeding hearts in your arrangement! I can’t say that I’ve thought of putting them in a vase, but it’s brilliant – especially for Mother’s Day!!

    • I wish I could claim that arrangement as my own. I love those kind of flowers. The photo source is indicated at the end of my post. I typically use my own photos, but not always :-). Thanks for stopping by!

  4. I’ve never been a huge fan of flowers for that same reason–their expensive and short-lived. Yet, I think of what a value the Europeans place on having fresh flowers around. They pick up a bunch at the market (usually less expensive than here), and arrange them in vases to have all around the house. I don’t need roses, but a bouquet like the one in your photo? That would be perfect!

Those flowers are beautiful. Me and my brothers are going to cook for our mom and celebrate Mother’s Day at home. We usually just go out for dinner so this year will be a surprise for her!

Those flowers are beautiful! Aside from flowers, me and my 3 brothers will cook and celebrate at home come Mother’s Day. We usually just go out for dinner and I am sure this year will be a surprise for her!
