There is no “clear rule” against including processed ingredients in your submission (but we hope you are moving in that direction :-)). So…occasionally you will find some “whole foodie undesirables” in the entries. What to do if you see processed foods and don't want them?:
- White or brown sugar? Sub in whatever works for you. Get help subbing in my post on Substituting Sweeteners in Baking and Cooking
- Chocolate Chips? Use Homemade Chocolate / Carob Chips
Welcome to Allergy-Free Wednesdays (AFW)–a weekly hop where you share your allergy-free cuisine, gain knowledge about allergy-related topics/issues, and connect with others living or caring for someone with food allergies. From gluten-free desserts to vegan recipes and “Top 8 Allergen Free” recipes, we have something for everyone.
Your weekly submissions are shared on 6 blogs. Each hostess will feature a favorite recipe(s) from the week before. Your hostesses are:
- Tessa @ Tessa the Domestic Diva
- Laura @ Gluten Free Pantry
- Nancy @ Real Food Allergy Free
- Amber @ The Tasty Alternative

Wondering What You Can Link Up on Allergy Free Wednesday? Anything that's fitting for an allergy free diet in some way (we're not that strict). For the complete rules, click here. Starting off with my favorites–and you should check out the other hostesses' posts to see if you were featured there!

Chocolate Coconut Bars from The Nourished Caveman
No subs needed here, but I would use my Easiest Coconut Milk for the cream. I think it should work.
Grain-Free Peanut Butter Pie from Texanerin
Well, I was drooling over this when I saw it earlier this week.
And I still am now.
I'd make this with Homemade Almond Butter or Homemade Sunflower Butter, and I would use vegan cream cheese.
And a lower carb something for the crust. Maybe a different dried fruit or ground chia with some liquid and sweetener.
Grain-Free Jam-Filled Thumbprint Cookies (V) from Delicious Obsessions
We've made these cookies several times this week already.
