You've come to the right place.
I went back over my stats from the past year and put together the most popular healthy recipes including:
– health snack ideas
– healthy vegetarian recipes (many of my recipes are vegan since my oldest is allergic to dairy and eggs)
– health processed food replacements
I haven't shared much about my transformation to being a “whole foodie”, but it didn't happen overnight.
Little by little. Step by step.
I made changes that I thought I needed to make.
Wherever you are on the road to a healthier diet, you can incorporate things little by little to get you to a healthy diet.
So here are the most popular recipes from 2013 – look forward to seeing what comes in this year.
This is super easy to do and can be done with any granulated sweetener that you have–so you can adjust it to whatever sweetener works best for you.
Those packaged protein bars are sooooo expensive. $1.50 and up?
These bars are grain-free, sugar-free, and vegan and well, simply delicious!
This is one of our FAVORITE recipes.
You can use it as is or as a ganache, a drizzle topping, or eat it in large pieces like a chocolate bar. Anyway you cut it–it's great!
One of the earliest changes in our diet was to be egg free when our oldest was diagnosed with a life threatening egg allergy.
This blend got us through and is sooo much cheaper than the store-bought mix.
Another one of our favorites.
Incredibly delicious out of the freezer, these bars are sugar and grain-free and can be made nut-free too!
At the same time that our son was diagnosed with an egg allergy, he was diagnosed with a diary allergy. And now, I think I am having dairy sensitivity as well. With all of the money we've saved making coconut milk ourselves, we could probably buy a second house. Well, maybe a small second house.
This is THE dish that we serve almost every time we have company over.
And it's our favorite meal to take to a family in need (new baby, sickness–what have you).
It's adaptable for low carb diets as well.
I seriously think it's been about 15 years (or more) since I've had a Dorito®.
If you love Doritos® but don't want their chemical topping in your tummy, Try. This. Recipe!
I think curry is our favorite flavor. My husband's favorite food is Indian–that's for sure.
Make sure you grab this recipe. It's a good one.
Whenever I make this seasoning, I leave some extra on the table. It's sprinkled on everything and gone in a flash.
Ditch the packets and use this instead.
Whenever we need a treat in a hurry, this is what I whip up.
Believe me–I've tried to make more complicated things too many times. I've learned my lesson!
This is the only beverage we drink (for the most part) besides water and my Coffee Substitute.
It's great for staving off cravings and lemon is a great healing food.
We don't make marshmallows often, but we love doing it when we do.
It's fun for the kids and so much better for you than the store-bought kind.
That's it! I so look forward to the new creations in 2014.
