Are you or a loved one on a special diet?

If so, you know how hard it can be to travel.

Stopping at fast food places, eating at restaurants, and the like can be very difficult.

Whether or not you are on or know someone on a special diet, join me today over at The Balanced Platter where I'm sharing some of my favorite foods to take on the road (not that we get there very often :-)).

If special diets are a part of your life, this post will hopefully make traveling easier for you.

And if they're not a part of what you deal with, I think your next trip will be a little more wholesome.

  1. Hi
recently my son was diagnoses with severe allergies, and it has been a nightmare because he is allergic to wheat, corn, grains, dairy, soy, eggs, meet, poultry, the only animal protein he can eat is, trout, snapper and lamb.
Breakfast and snaks are the worst,
Do you have breads and cakes recipes that might use?

  2. Adrienne, I love the Blessings blocks! What a fun idea. I’m glad I rediscovered your blog – this post hit home. I struggle with balance too. It’s so hard, isn’t it?

    • Hi Rebecca!!! Yes. It’s hard. Glad to have someone to commiserate / aim for a good goal with! I love the blocks. And hope to reconnect…

  3. Great article – thank you!

I noticed when I clicked the link for the $50 Healthy Home Giveaway seems misdirected. It takes me to a page for Just Almonds.

    Thanks again!

  4. i know what you mean — so difficult to travel — bring your own and be prepared — that’s my motto! that bread looks delicious!
