Things have been super busy this week. I was host for an Australian guest who came to talk about superfood nutrition, probiotics, and toxin-free living.
It was informative and fun, but whew, am I worn out now! We did have a day at a gorgeous beach the following day (didn’t know we had such treasures here in Michigan), made grain free and sugar free S’mores (using my Homemade Chocolate Chips) (recipe to come – Yumm!) but now it’s time to pick up the loose pieces and get on with regular life – whatever that means, eh
!
So anyway, it’s time for another post on great deals and freebies for the weekend since the fight to save money continues, regardless of what else is going on.
Amazon
Some great free e-books going on right now. These are all free for Kindle.
Don’t have a Kindle? I sure don’t. You can get Kindle for your PC (free on Amazon’s website) and read the books right on your computer. Handy, huh?
Apple Cider Vinegar – Old Fashioned Weight Loss and Health in a Bottle.
UPDATE: 8/25 afternoon. The book is now 2.99 but free if you have a Prime membership. Sorry – I missed it too!
.
I have been using organic apple cider vinegar for years. I use it in place of pricier (and not so good for you) red wine vinegars, and even in place of white vinegar and rice vinegar in off of my recipes. But I am going to get this book for sure to find out what else I can do with it!
Barcode Booty: How I found and sold $2 million of ‘junk’ on eBay and Amazon, And you can, too, using your phone (no, it’s not a health book, but it is a really interesting way to make money.)
Superfoods 101: Incredible Raw Foods To Revolutionize Your Body and Life
JeBouffe Home Canning Step by Step Guide (second edition) Revised and Expanded
I would personally whip up a huge batch of fruit leather in my Excalibur Dehydrator (see photos here), but if you’re not “there” yet, this is a great deal.
Mango, Strawberry, and Apricot are just $12.16 with Subscribe and Save (just 40.5 cents each), and Grape, Cherry, Apple and Raspberry are just 41 cents each with Subscribe and Save.
Tropical Traditions
Tropical Traditions has a few great sales going on right now that you might wish to take advantage of.
1. One thing I’ve been doing recently is adding a deep greens drink to my daily regimen. I tend to eat quite a few veggies, but I think adding more is a good thing. I haven’t personally tried Tropical Traditions brand, but I have heard good things about it. It’s on sale for $28.50, which is 35% off.
2. Their all purpose cleaner is on sale for just $5.50
3. Their soy free eggs have free shipping right now. The eggs are pricey, but if you are on a soy free diet, this is a great opportunity for you.
3. You can also still get the special on bulk coconut flour that I’ve mentioned before, but you do need to be a member of their Healthy Buyers Club. But at only $3.53 per pound, this is an amazing deal. Even $5 per pound is a good deal so I would snag this if I were you.
You do need to be willing to place and store a bulk order, but coconut flour tends to store quite well. And believe me, once you try the yummy Cookie Dough Truffle Recipe that I hope to share with you soon, you will wish that you had plenty of coconut flour in your pantry!
Since we’ve been doing more and more grain free baking with my oldest going off grain. I hope to have a wonderful Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffle recipe for you soon! It is full of delicious coconut flour.
