Well, here we are again. Another week – some more savings for you.
I know I am not a “deals blogger”, but really, part of how make our finances work is finding ways to save money for my family, so I may as well pass them on to all of you as well.
This week there are some real goodies.
Here goes….
Tropical Traditions
Tropical Traditions is where I buy most of my coconut oil. I also buy from a few other reputable companies, but I love their expeller pressed coconut oil. If you live local to me, I have it for sale out of my home – (you can see all items I have on my Store Page).
Anyway, Tropical Traditions is having one of their great FREE SHIPPING WEEKENDS. You can get FREE SHIPPING until midnight EST Oct. 22 (so act fast
!) using CODE 221211 (oops – thanks to a reader I just corrected the code – I had one digit off – sorry!)
You must purchase $16 in order to get the free shipping and some items aren’t included.
There are also some great sales going on at Tropical Traditions, so pair these with the Free Shipping and you have some really affordable whole food.
- 45% off Grass Fed Ground Beef ($71.50 for 12 pounds – that’s $5.96 per pound)
- 50% off Laundry Detergent - 5 pounds for $15
- 50% off Hand Sanitizer - Just $4.49
- BOGO Expeller Pressed Coconut Oil (that’s the kind I use) – $25 for 2 32oz jars
Amazon Free E-Books
There are just TONS of great free books today. There are a few details about these books that you should know, however….
1. They are free for a short time. Sometimes one day — sometimes a week. Regardless, if you are interested in one, grab it right away before you miss the freebie (not that I’ve ever done that – ahem.)
2. These books are for Kindle, but you don’t need to have a Kindle to read them! Just go to Amazon and download Kindle for PC or Mac and you will be able to read the books right on your computer
!
Here we go with this week’s list!
Superfood Genius - This book is chock full of mouth-watering recipes.
It’s one of those “I can’t wait to make it” cookbooks. And to top it all off, these recipes are loaded with superfoods.
Sugar Crushers! Quit the Sugar Addiction.
Boy, oh boy, did I need this one a few years ago. If I can ditch the sugar addiction, anyone can.
I may or may not agree with everything in the book, but it is a good place to start. And, in my humble opinion, sugar is one of the worst things for you.
Live Organic – 52 Brilliant Ideas
This book is chock full of great information about the toxins in our food and water supply and how to avoid them without breaking the bank. Love it!
Understanding the Ph Level of Your Body.
This is one area of health that I simply haven’t learned enough about.
Here’s an inexpensive way to learn. I’m not sure what I think about it, though. I’d be interested in your thoughts.
Feed Your Face
Tons of Natural Beauty Recipes and also a thorough discussion of what your skin needs and why.
Facts to Know About Vitamin C.
Great tutorial on why we need vitamin C and much, much more.
Growing Herbs for Aromatherapy.
You all know, if you’ve been following my posts on essential oils (Yes, I hope to soon post Part 2 of Which Essential Oils Company is Best!), that I am really enjoying working with therapeutic oils.
This is a great book to get started understanding what is in plants and why they work!
Tiny But Mighty – Lentil Recipes
Great info about lentils and though some of the recipes have processed food ingredients, some are sure winners and if you’re good at substituting, you can make the others work as well
!
Blueberries In Your Backyard
I am soooo excited about this. I tried to grow blueberries once when we had just moved into our current home, but I had no idea what I was doing. Every year we go blueberry picking, but this book makes growing your own look so doable! Yippee!!
Told you there were a lot. Whew! I think I’ll have to just make some Rich and Delicious (and healthy) Coffee Substitute and get to reading — and learning!
I’d love to know what books you’ll be reading this weekend!
Have a great weekend.

Thank you so much for all these resources! Just placed my Tropical Traditions order. The correct free shipping code is 221211.
Thanks again for all the info!
Thanks for telling me! Just corrected the post.
TT has a Canadian distributor now but they don’t have the specials. One 32 oz jar of the virgin coconut oil is $45.95Cdn. No mention of free shipping either.
Sorry about that. Maybe you should contact them to find out what the situation is.
Thank you for sharing all of these. How do you find all the great kindle deals anyway?
Hi Martianne. I check in several places when I have time. They are hit and miss and I try to pick out the good ones only. There are some sources I haven’t checked yet but so far this is working
