Welcome to the Healthy Living Weekend post. There are a bunch of great deals this week to help you stretch your natural living dollars.
For a quick update of what is going on in our family–
It’s turning cooler here so we are contemplating putting up a hoop garden so our peppers can hopefully ripen all the way.
My husband planted some broccoli and lettuce that we think will grow in the cooler weather (I can only hope after all our garden has been through!)
And we are still thinking and praying about what course to take next with our diets and health programs.
I have a lot on my mind about that — not ready to share yet since I am still processing and investigating.
Stay tuned —- !

If you have been hoping to try coconut oil but haven’t wanted to buy a whole heap of it (like the 5 gallon buckets I often buy), this week Tropical Traditions has a great deal for you.
BOGO pints of Gold Label Coconut Oil. This oil is top quality–apparently it has the highest level of nutrients of any coconut oil around, and through Sept. 19, you can get 2 points for $19.95 (retail price is $50.)
If you’re a new customer to Tropical Traditions, you will also get an 85 page book full of great information about coconut oil–and tons of yummy recipes!
Vitacost $10 off
If you haven’t been shopping at Vitacost, you don’t know what you are missing.
I just got a shipment of supplements and am just, as always, thrilled with their quality and low prices.
And if you are already a Vitacost customer, you can support my blog by shopping through this link - I really appreciate it!
All shoppers get Free Shipping over $49.
One of the things I have my eye on right now is this Powdered Goat Milk.
I was thinking that this would be a great item to purchase and store for emergencies. You can rehydrate it–and even culture it!
And goat’s milk is tolerated much more easily than cow’s milk. Meyenberg milk is hormone free to boot!
And this milk is only $8.24 which makes 3 whole quarts!
Lilla Rose – Buy 3 Get 1 Free
I am offering, from now through the end of September, the great Buy 3 Get 1 Free deal to any and all new customers!

Loads of information on these nutrient-dense foods, plus tempting ways to incorporate them into your diet.
Easy Vegetarian Cooking – with a month’s worth of quick dinner recipes based on Harvard Healthy Eating Plate
I used to be a vegetarian–but no longer. Regardless of whether you are one or not, these recipes look great!
I’m not personally a big smoothie person, but I am thinking about moving in that direction. So many people I know rave about them. These recipes look very doable and delicious.
The Low-Maintenance Container Gardening Book – How to Build Your Own Easy Container Garden Bursting with Vegetables, Herbs and Fruit
Again – the gardening theme returns. I need all the help I can get!
There are a few typos in this book, but I am always on the lookout for ways to diversify what we eat–and incorporating more quinoa into our diet is one thing I aim to do. There’s even a recipe for Quinoa Dessert Bars !
That’s it for this week – have a great weekend and see you next week!
