Hiya wonderful readers.
I’ve got another set of great savings to help you get your healthy living dollars to stretch just a little bit farther.
And boy do we need some stretching, huh?
Raise your hand if you’re with me on that. Before we get on to the savings, please note that some of the following links are affiliate or referral links. If you click on them and make a purchase, I might make a commission. Your support of my blog is oh-so appreciated and keeps this free resource up and running!
Vitacost is one of my FAVORITE places to shop for healthy living deals. I know…it’s not a local store but I do what I have to do.
Every day they have great deals on whole food, healthy living products, supplements and more.
And I do a lot of local shopping. Most of it is eggs, raw kefir, and veggies (well, we try to grow as much as we can which is about as local as it gets !)
Besides their fabulous prices, you can get $10 off your order of $30 or more just by clicking on this link. And if you are already a Vitacost customer, you can help keep this blog going by shopping through this link - I really appreciate it!
Some of the great deals this week are:
- 15 oz. organic canned pumpkin – $1.90
- 32 oz Bob’s Red Mill GF Oats – $4.14 (as low as $3.73 with Set and Save)
- 32 oz Dr. Woods Peppermint Castille Soap for $6.23
– 32 oz Hexane Free Castor Oil – $7.87 (I am going to be buying this for sure.)
Peepods – Get 10% off — Bless Others
I know –you’ve never thought about using cloth pads.
I hadn’t either, but then again, I never thought I would have a home birth or use cloth diapers, and I did both of those. I will share more on my home birth at some point.
These cloth pads are FABULOUS and you will not need to go to the store for “feminine products” anymore once you have these. Good deal, eh ? In addition to this one, you can check out all of the other gorgeous patterns they have here.
With my great sponsor, Peepods, you:
1. Save 10% off any purchase at Peepods using CODE wholenewmom when you checkout. 2. Bless less-privileged women. For every set of pads purchased, you employ ladies in Belize who’ve been employed by Amber, the owner of Peepods. You also have the opportunity to buy pads for women overseas. Here’s more info from Peepods’ site:
Peepods will match your donation and pay the shipping. Simply purchase your product and then select the “DONATE” coupon at checkout. We will then ship the set you buy and the set we promise – double your donation- for women in Ethiopia longing to dress with dignity.
Also, please check out my review of Peepods here.
10% off Great Almonds
We go through my Homemade Almond Butter at an unbelievable clip–you really wouldn’t believe how much we go through.
We’ve been enjoying our Just Almonds Non Pareil almonds for about a year now–they’re so much sweeter than other almonds we’d had that the first time I made almond butter with them my husband noticed right away and asked why the almond butter was so much sweeter. He thought I’d done something different in the processing.
Just Almonds’ almonds are steam pasteurized. Most almonds in the US are pasteurized with engine fuel. Ick- huh? Read more in my post, Is There Engine Fuel on Your Almonds? Get 10% off these superb almonds from my sponsor, Just Almonds, with code WNM.
Free Kindle Books
Just as always, these books were free at time of publishing, but the price could change at any time. Also, no need to run out and buy a Kindle in order to read these. Simply download Kindle for PC or Mac at Amazon and read on your computer. Yippee! Less stuff in the home.
Adopting The Minimalist Mindset: How To Live With Less, Downsize, And Get More Fulfillment From Life
This is something so many of us need to do.
More money. More time. Less pressure. Sounds good, huh? I’m reading this.
Oh…how I wish I could use these recipes now. But alas, we are gluten-free. If you aren’t GF, go ahead and grab this book. The recipes look great. I would whole foodify them for sure – use whole grain flour and more wholesome sweeteners.
I didn’t make it through this whole book, but it looks like a real keeper. I LOVE this from the first page:
“…the best advice that I ever got, and the only advice that I needed for being a parent….Know your child and trust yourself.”
My boys’ room is one of the “issues” in our home. Hoping this will help!
I don’t know if you know this about me, but I used to work in the financial industry. In employee benefits plus on the equity options floor. And more. But managing our family’s budget is something that I work hard at all the time. Books like this can be a huge help.
I shared this book on my Facebook page the other day. I LOVE this concept. But then again, everything is better in a mason jar, isn’t it?
Like I’ve said before, I love using my slow cooker. From turkey fajitas to winter stew—Mmmm.
There are some seriously yummy looking recipes in this book. Even if you aren’t on the “paleo” eating plan, these are fabulous.
We are avocado freaks. I think we could keep the country of Mexico going if I let my family eat as many of these as they wanted. This is a neato book if you’re in that boat with us!
Most of these (if not all) have eggs in them. But some would work with an egg substitute I think. Boy oh boy do they look good!
This is one of my all time favorite Kindle Books. Make sure to get it !
I am a canning dunce. I need this book and I need to get going with it. For some reason it’s frightening to me…..
That’s all folks! See you next week for more healthy living stuff, including some great giveaways!
