Well, we got hit hard with the flu this week. First me, and then my sons.
This was a really bad one – knocked me flat on my back for 4 days and I am still not back to normal.
It sure makes you appreciate good health when you get hit with something like this. I was really trying to think about that as I lay aching and fatigued on the sofa.
There aren’t as many quality free Ebooks these days, but I am trying my best to bring you what I can dig up.
This week, there are a few good inexpensive and free ebooks, as well as some good sales going on with my sponsors.
I hope these savings help you to stretch your dollars!
Free and Discounted Ebooks
These recipes look quite good. Not typeset that well in some places but for free – who’s complaining :)?
These recipes look great! Whole food and no candida-friendly sweeteners!
There’s a lot of dried fruit in here, but if you can handle that, these recipes look great.
Everyone needs help saving on groceries. I didn’t get to check this book out, but there are apparently a bunch of Make Your Own Substitutes inside – love that kind of thing.
Quick and Easy Paleo Chicken and Fish Recipes
(Civilized Caveman Series)
Civilized Caveman is a great paleo blog with great recipes. I typically don’t “drool” over chicken recipes but these look great. $2.99 is a great bargain for this collection.
Coconut and Almond Flour Power:
40 Gluten-Free Recipes From Breakfast to Dessert Using Coconut Flour and Almond Flour
These recipes look great – a lot of them do use eggs, but there are plenty in the final part of the book that don’t. Basically it’s made of recipes that add coconut and almond flour to recipes rather than recipes based on those flours alone.
Great info on why and how to make milk and water kefir. I’ve only made water kefir once but I hope to try my second batch soon!
This book should have loads of good info on how to not only eat the paleo way for cheap, but also simply how to eat a whole foods diet for less money. I’m sure you’ll recoup the $3.99 price quickly.
This book is chock full of great ideas for those starting out on the “sustainable living” path. Consume less and have a simpler life.
This looks like a great resource for saving money –not just for those on a paleo diet, but for those who want to eat more whole foods. I think you’d easily recoup the cost for this book by implementing the strategies in here.

Mary’s Gone Crackers – $2.51 per box, shipped
I Love these crackers, but I don’t love their retail price. You can get them at Amazon’s Warehouse deal now, while supplies last!
10% off Great Almonds
We have been so enjoying our Just Almonds Non Pareil almonds the past few weeks. They are much sweeter than most any other almonds we have ever tried. Typically my Homemade Almond Butter disappears pretty quickly, but with these almonds as the base, it disappears even faster :).
These almonds are steam pasteurized. Most almonds in the US are pasteurized with engine fuel. Read more about that in my post, Is There Engine Fuel on Your Almonds? Ick, huh?
Get 10% off these superb almonds with code WNM
10% off Postpartum, Period, and Incontinence Pads –
and it’s for a GREAT cause
I’ve shared before that you can get 10% off all purchases at Peepods (through March 20 with code wholenewmom). Amber has superb sustainable products that can make dealing with “feminine issues” more feminine.
Look at these gorgeous products. A lot nicer than those ickly plastic-encased pads w/ sticky glue on them, eh?
I’ll be sharing more about this later, but when you buy a set, Amber donates one set a hospital in Ethiopia that treats ladies with injuries related to poor obstetric care. It’s a policy that cuts into her profits but she does it to serve these ladies who are in a tough situation.
You can read my review of Peepods here.
Care for the environment.
Help Ethiopian women.
All this with Peepods.
That’s it for today. I hope these deals help you stretch your dollars.
See you next week :).
