Free Books, Free Shipping, BOGO Coconut Oil, and Three Super Sales

Hello to all my great readers.  I have a bunch of great deals to share with you again this week.

One of them is super popular, so make sure to check out the whole post.

I’ve had a pretty eventful week – I took a fall while roller skating with my family, and ended up with a concussion.

Just when I was starting to “find my groove”.

My headaches are almost completely gone, but I am still a bit tired and my arm is in quite a bit of pain.

If you are so inclined I would love prayers for healing and patience while I am not feeling so great.

Thanks!

Free Kindle Books

Just a note – there are some rules changing with Amazon and the downloading of Free Books.  They are going to be penalizing folks who have too many downloads of them coming from their sites.

I am not sure what this all means yet, but I am going to continue sharing as much as I can.

Regardless, there have seemed to be fewer and fewer high quality free books to share and this week there just weren’t many.

So – enjoy them for now and I will share what I can.

A few points about the Free Kindle books:

They don’t stay free for long, so if you see one you want, download it now.

And you can read these books even if you don’t have a Kindle.

Just download Kindle for PC or Mac at Amazon and read on your computer.

Enjoy!

Paleo Breakfast Recipes: 100 Easy and Delicious Paleo Breakfast Recipes
There are some editing problems with this book, and a lot of the recipes do use eggs, but there are some non-egg recipes and they look quite good.  I like the Breakfast Curry, Breakfast Salsa and the Butternut Squash Latkes.

Cooking With Herbs: Create Tasty And Healthy Foods Using Nature’s Flavor Enhancers
Loads of spice mix recipes and ways to use herbs and spices.
I LOVE making my own spice mixes.  If you haven’t yet, check out my Chat Masala, Taco Seasoning, “Best” Cinnamon Sugar (Sugar Free), and Vegetable Broth (All-Purpose Seasoning).  You’ll love them!

$1.99 for Dave Ramsey’s EntreLeadership

I have long been thinking about getting this book. “20 Years of Practical Business Leadership.”
I’ve heard that the principles in this book apply to everyday life as well.

For only $1.99 I think it’s a steal.

Tropical Traditions

My source for expeller-pressed coconut oil is having its much-sought-after FREE SHIPPING days – now through midnight EST, Monday, February 25th.  UPDATE – Tuesday, February 26th.  Use CODE 25213.

Right now, at Tropical Traditions, you can also get

- Expeller Pressed Coconut Oil – BOGO – $12.50 for 2 16 oz jars.
- Their Antioxidant Omega-3 Drink is 35% off through 2/24.  I have been using a green drink for about 6 month but I might try this one out as well.  I have read a lot about green drinks being great for alkalinizing your body and adding much needed nutrition. .

This is a great option if you are just starting out with coconut oil and want to get a good deal plus free shipping as well!

New to Tropical Traditions?  You will get a free book with great info about coconut oil as well as a load of great recipes.

Make sure you check out the fine print on the free shipping after you head over to the Tropical Traditions’ site.  The offer is good in the lower 48 states and excludes some items.  You also have to place a minimum $16 order to qualify.

I know–you might be thinking, “No way.”

But really—if you have ever considered cloth diapering, this is much less “icky”.

It’s not poop we’re talking about, right?

Regardless of what you’ve thought in the past about using cloth pads, you should check out the beautiful work that Amber does.

From cloth menstrual pads, to incontinence wear, to post partum needs, these pads are just the thing to:

10% off Almonds Without Engine Fuel

Just Almonds

Yes, you read that right.

Did you know that almost all almonds in the U.S. are sprayed with PPO, which is engine fuel?

Ick, right?

You can read more about it in my post, “Is There Engine Fuel on Your Almonds?”

As long as the Just Almonds ad is in my sidebar (which includes right now :) ), all of my readers can get 10% off some of the best almonds I have ever had.  (USE CODE WNM).

I mean that.

I just got a delivery of a bunch of the non pareil almonds and they are sooo sweet.

The first time I made Homemade Almond Butter with the Just Almonds almonds, I had just been sent the Blendtec blender to review.  My husband asked “Did the Blendtec make them that much sweeter?”

He didn’t know I had just gotten a new source for our almonds.

They are soooo good.

Try them.  You will be amazed.

  4. Oh, goodness! So sorry you took a spill while roller skating! I did that last year, but fortunately, all I ended up with was a bruised bum and all my friends laughing (of course, I was laughing right along with them).

For all those readers out there who might be saying, “Yuck!” to the reusable feminine care products. I said the same thing when I first thought of it…until I actually switched. Super sensitive skin dictated that I make a switch a few years back, as the products that I liked were beginning to add scents to ALL of their products instead of just some. I’ll never go back…in fact, I won’t even use disposable products if I start a bit earlier than expected…so…just a bit of encouragement, it’s not as terrible as it sounds, although it does take a little bit of extra time each morning and evening (I know my body well enough to only have to deal with the pads in the morning and evening on most days). I make my own products and my favorite is to make a case out of fleece (wicks the moisture away!) and then line the inside with old washcloths or my dad’s repurposed sweatpants (draw the shape of the lining on them, then sew around, then cut them apart), or just boring old repurposed fabric from other items in my sewing supplies…And I promise, it’s not as difficult or as gross as it may sound (point taken, at least it’s not poo…).
