Free Kindle Books, Free Coconut Oil & More Healthy Living Deals – 7/6/14

Hi Readers.

Sorry to get this out late to you all.

Life got kind of turned upside down this week.

Irony of ironies – after the fascinating guest post by Andrea Fabry on Could MOLD Be the Cause of Your Health Problems?…

We found mold in our basement.

Ugh.  One of the worst things I can imagine since I am REALLY allergic to mold.

I’d been having some odd symptoms the past few weeks so now this is making sense.

I’ll write more about it in the future, but for now I am working hard to find out what kind it is and get it out safely.

Thankfully I have Andrea’s plethora of information on mold to lean on.

I’m sure this is going to cost us quite a bit of money for remediation, etc., so I really appreciate having opportunities to save money — like the ones I am sharing with you this week.

I hope they are a blessing to you as well.

I’ve been a Happy Just Almonds customer for a long time.

They are great sponsors and they have great almonds

Once I found out that the government is putting Engine Fuel on Almonds I went on the hunt for almonds that don’t have fuel on them — because who wants to eat fuel?

I sure don’t.

Just Almonds’ almonds are seriously good.  The first time I made my homemade almond butter out of these almonds my husband commented on how sweet it was.

Their Non Pareils are super sweet.  Get 10% off your order with code WNM.

    Speak Your Mind

  1. I am gobbling up your blog – came via a search on EO’s and have read your whole series, plus tons of posts.

Just a comment though on advertisements on your site… in one of your EO posts (probably in the comments when people were being ridiculous about your disclaimers and being an assoc with NAN), I thought I read one of your comments about how you try to limit ads to the side bar, instead of right in the blog. I’ve been reading so many posts and the only annoying thing about my experience is the ads all in the middle of the text!!! I’m sure it helps you with ad revenue, but it is so distracting. I’ll still come back and hope to be a regular reader, and I’ll always try to click through your affiliate links when I am going to purchase. But… I’m sure I’m not the only one, please consider changing the ad placement. Thanks!

    • I know, Lisa, and i am sorry about that. I have been really struggling about this decision and am trying to figure out a better way to do things. The costs of having my blog have skyrocketed and they might increase even more. I can’t keep up with everything that goes into it and needed to hire someone to take care of back office things (like ads). So we are working on optimizing them to be as little in the way as possible while still making me money so I can keep blogging. I just can’t work for free as many hours as I do. I hope you can understand and be patient with me. It’s hard to figure all of this out.

I initially wanted no ads at all but then I started working tons of hours and realized it wasn’t feasible any longer. For example, the hosting of my blog might increase $200 per month soon so you can get the idea of all that goes into this. I won’t tell you the rate I have to pay for the back office help :). Hoping I get my money’s worth :). I do appreciate your honesty and would love to hear what you think.

  2. How do I make sure that I get the 25% off at peepods? There’s no coupon code and I don’t see them indicate that it is a sale. I put the deluxe set in my box and it was $58. Thanks for your help!

  3. Rhoda Edwards says:

Thank you so much for the books. Is the free shipping for outside of the U.S.A as well? I would like to know please.

  4. I can’t wait to hear more about the mold and what your symptoms were. I suspect we may have mold. I’ve battled a rash for about six months and then at the end of March my lips began to swell. I’m on an elimination diet now, but I’m still having problems and I’ve been on the diet for eight weeks.

    • Oh my goodness. That sounds suspicious. I would check out Andrea’s site and /or order tests now. I guess if it were me I would order an air test to see what is going on.

I got this information from Andrea:
EMSL is one lab to call: 1-800-220-3675.
Mycometrics is at (732) 355-9018. I ordered a tape lift from EMSL since I could see the mold. Otherwise, I suspect an air test would be best. I can’t professionally or medically advise, but I had a rash recur that had been gone for about 5 years, more puffiness under my eyes and sneezing / allergy symptoms that shouldn’t be here in the summer.
