Somehow I happen to be up too late again. This is becoming a pattern here – and not a good one.
And each week I type in the date of the blog hop in the title and think, “Wow! Where did the week go?”
I think I need more “Stop and Smell the Roses” moments. You too?
I’m sharing my Top 10 Health Posts this week and my Rich and Delicious Coffee Substitute. Hope you enjoy them and I so look forward to what you all have to share. Take care!
Welcome back to our Nutritious and Delicious Linky Blog Hop — Traditional Tuesday!
What is Traditional Tuesday? Well,
- if you are a blogger, you can share your whole food related tips on this blog and it will be shared on all five blogs
- if you are a blog reader (I guess we all are, right
?) you can stop by now as well as later to check out the great tips that participating bloggers have to share. And there should be some great stuff, so come back later this week and check it out!
Here is some more specific info:
Traditional Tuesday’s Nutritious and Delicious Blog Carnival is for anything involving traditional foods.
Recipes, techniques, tips, discussions on the hows and whys we do what we do, kitchen organization, appliances used, fitting traditional foods into your life and schedule, anything under the banner of traditional foods is wonderful.
Posts, Facebook pages or websites on the politics of real foods and action alerts for individual states or topics are also welcome.
This blog carnival is hosted by:
KerryAnn @ Cooking Traditional Foods
Jessica @ Delicious Obsessions
Dawn @ Cultured Mama
And… me
Here are the Rules :

- If you are linking to a recipe, it must be traditional foods. No white flour, white sugar, yeast, packaged or processed products and the like.
- Please link to your article only and not directly to your blog front page.
- Please place a link back to this post. Place the URL of the carnival post, copied from your browser address bar, at the bottom of your post. A badge is below, if you wish to use that instead. To link back, just edit your post and put a link to this blog post at the very bottom of your post. It’s good etiquette and it helps both of us.
- Please only link posts that fit the carnival description. Old and archived posts are most welcome as long as you post a link back as described above.
- Links that do not follow these rules will be deleted.
Please note – if you see something that doesn’t fit the mission of this blog, please let me know
.
- Linky will stay open from 12:01AM Tuesday to 11:59PM Friday EST.

Thanks for hosting! I look forward to Traditional Tuesdays! Going to click around!
You’re welcome! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Adrienne! Hope things are going well. I shared 2 posts today. A video by Dr. Wahls on the influence of genetics vs. lifestyle choices and my first book review – a guide for green bloggers.
Thanks for hosting!
I love the thoughts behind the first boo. Thanks Ruth – I’ll need to check it out and the review too! Hope you are well!
Hi Adrienne, Thanks for hosting. I’m sharing a recipe for Squash Gnocchi with a Curried Fig Butter. I look forward to seeing you at Whole FOod Wednesdays. Hope you have a great week.
You’re welcome! See you tomorrow and thanks for sharing!
Hi Adrienne,
I shared my Apple Blackberry Crisp (Grain Free) and Chocolate Coconut Baked Bananas recipes this week. I can’t wait to check out all of the yummy recipes everyone is posting today!
Your recipes look great! We’re off of a lot of fruit right now so I won’t show my son your recipes though
.
This week we all started the GAPS Challenge! On January 15, we committed to 30 days of either going grain/gluten-free, on Full GAPS, or on Intro GAPS.
I am also sharing my latest REAL FOOD 101 post, all about how to make Shellfish Stock. I love to use this recipe as a base for bisque, seafood stew, or maybe I will try it out in a risotto when I can have rice again!
Thanks Kendahl. Grain free here too, but so far no weight loss. I was hoping it would help – wonder how long it normally takes – or is it typically sudden? I guess it can depend on a lot of things. How about cauli rice?
Hi Adrienne,
I so enjoyed your blog. I am a real foods organic foodie too.My dh’s diet is very limited and special and at times can be very tricky. It is low fat and low fiber. Nothing raw. only cooked foods. I use KA unbleached white flour since he can’ t have the whole grains. I don’t use refine white sugar. I do the best i can with what I can use.
Thanks again for sharing,
Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth. Sorry to hear how restricted you are. I honestly don’t really think raw is great. Except w/ nuts and seed and I soak those. Do you mind my asking what your diagnosis is? Take care and thanks for commenting.
I deleted my original post on accident, so I had to re-write it and re post it, could you delete the first one (#55)? Different links now of course….grrr!!!
Hi Tessa – sorry, I didn’t have much time on the blog today so I just got around to figuring this out. I don’t control the link so I’ll pass it along
.
Wow, so much in here already! I’m having another go at sharing my carob-mint truffles.
http://ulteriorharmony.blogspot.com/2012/01/mint-carob-truffles-so-good-they-get.html
Hi Ela – I still don’t see your truffles showing up??? Maybe next week so everyone can try them!
Ohhh–now I get it! I misunderstood: I thought that I posted the link in the comment and then it would appear in the post–I missed that whole “click here to enter” that I just noticed. It’s still Tuesday, so maybe I’ll try again!
Thanks for spotting me!
Ela
You’re welcome! I’d just for sure do it next week since it’s late. Whatever you like. The linkup goes up typically at 1 am (I set it to do that). That way you can get viewers all day
.
Thank you for hosting! I’ve posted a Toasted Nut Macaroon recipe (with or without nuts, it’s tasty). Pair with chocolate and it’s irresistible.
These look great! Thanks!
Happy Tuesday Adrienne,
This week I shared a vegan & cane-sugar free (coconut)chocolate pumpkin pudding.
Have a beautiful, health-full week!
Hugs,
–Amber
Hi Amber! My oldest son asked me to try making your pudding – thanks!
Thanks for hosting this carnival. I linked up my bean dip, hope it fits your criteria for the link up. I look forward to reading the other recipes that everyone shared!
Hi Lisa – your dip looks great! We have a favorite bean dip (Fast and Yummy – maybe needs a new name) here that’s always a hit but now I’m tempted to (and will) try yours! My son likes his veggies plain too but he’ll eat the dip on rice
.
By the way, your ingredients are totally fine! Hope to see you again!
