Well it is just so neat to see this blog hop growing each and every week.
I am again up too late so I’m not going to share much. There’s a pattern of up-too-late going on here.
If you remember me writing about our van troubles, the company agreed to take it back, but now it’s a mad scramble trying to get a new vehicle. So not much rest for the weary. Not this week at least.
Anyway, I am trying to take care of myself with good nutrition and resting when I need to. How about you?
Take a moment to look around and learn something new while you’re here!
Welcome back to our Nutritious and Delicious Linky Blog Hop — Traditional Tuesday!
What is Traditional Tuesday? Well,
- if you are a blogger, you can share your whole food related tips on this blog and it will be shared on all five blogs
- if you are a blog reader (I guess we all are, right
?) you can stop by now as well as later to check out the great tips that participating bloggers have to share. And there should be some great stuff, so come back later this week and check it out!
Here is some more specific info:
Traditional Tuesday’s Nutritious and Delicious Blog Carnival is for anything involving traditional foods.
Recipes, techniques, tips, discussions on the hows and whys we do what we do, kitchen organization, appliances used, fitting traditional foods into your life and schedule, anything under the banner of traditional foods is wonderful.
Posts, Facebook pages or websites on the politics of real foods and action alerts for individual states or topics are also welcome.
This blog carnival is hosted by:
KerryAnn @ Cooking Traditional Foods
Jessica @ Delicious Obsessions
Dawn @ Cultured Mama
And… me
Here are the Rules :

- If you are linking to a recipe, it must be traditional foods. No white flour, white sugar, yeast, packaged or processed products and the like.
- Please link to your article only and not directly to your blog front page.

To link back, just edit your post and put a link to this blog post at the very bottom of your post. It’s good etiquette and it helps both of us.
- Please only link posts that fit the carnival description. Old and archived posts are most welcome as long as you post a link back as described above.
- Links that do not follow these rules will be deleted.
Please note – if you see something that doesn’t fit the mission of this blog, please let me know
.
- Linky will stay open from 12:01AM Tuesday to 11:59PM Friday EST.

Hi,
I shared my famous grain-free party franks and an action alert for supplements at risk in congress now. Please sign the petition! I also shared an article about the 3 Super Foods for Bone and Joint Health and my favorite gift ideas for real food chefs like you and I.
Thanks for hosting
Can’t wait to check out your posts, Jill. You really have been writing up a storm. I have signed things but I’ll do it again. Thanks!
Hi Adrienne,
Today I shared an easy solution to the common cold: #25 Chase Away Holiday Colds & Flues with Broth Based Soup – we make this at least once a week this time of year. I also shared #22 Healthy Soaked Granola and #26 Pepper Steak with Gravy which really hits the spot!
Thanks so much for hosting!
Paula @ Whole Intentions
Thanks, Paula – they all look great!
Thanks for hosting! I posted a profile of butternut squash, including how to buy it and ideas on cooking with it.
Wow – tons of info – thank you! You always have so many great details! I’ve cooked ours in the pressure cooker and made pie with it a few times. I love when it is on sale in winter!
Good morning Adrienne, Thanks for hosting. I’m sharing a video to show how easy it really is to make homemade dressings!
Thanks, France. Do you have a favorite? We love my Moroccan Vinaigrette but I’d love to add one to my repertoire!
It’s back to basics for all the newbies, or just as a refresher for all of us. REAL FOOD 101 over at Our Nourishing Roots is a weekly post where we discuss the building blocks of real food.
This week I make a simple lacto-fermented ketchup to use as is or as a base for cocktail sauce, BBQ sauce, or fry sauce. Yum!

Thanks, Kendahl! I look forward to checking that out!
I shared my Extraordinary Egg Scramble this week made with a secret ingredient
Thanks, Laura – I’ll have to try it! I have hemp seeds in my freezer!
Hi Adrienne, Not sure…I think I like the simple balsamic and mustard ones the best, but when I feel like putting in the effort, my friend has one that is a bunch of hebs, such as cilantro, basil and parsley and it’s pureed with red wine vinegar and olive oil and it’s awesome.
Thanks, France. Do you by chance have the other recipe? No pressure if you don’t or don’t have time. Thank you!
Hi There Adrienne~
This week I submitted my first SCD cookie recipe. I’m starting a new food adventure here very soon to wean off my Crohn’s medication. It’s going to be an interesting ride!!

Be Well,

Thanks Amber! They look wonderful! I have just started going grain free and so maybe we can work together – but I am off of sugar so that changes things quite a bit. I have a lot of work to do. I sure hope you will be off your meds.
Today I am sharing a decadent wintertime snack: Grain-Free Shortbread Wedges and Coconut Milk Peppermint Hot Cocoa. It is GAPS-friendly for those who need a holiday treat that won’t give them a sugar headache.

Kendahl, more recipes I need to try! I’ve actually been working on my own hot cocoa so don’t be surprised if you see it soon. However, life in our home has gotten really crazy. I should write a post about our used car nightmare. It sure is postworthy!
