Fudgy Sweet Potato Truffles, Grain Free Chocolate Chip Cookies, DIY Chocolate Sprinkles & More!

Allergy Free Recipes Welcome back to another week of Allergy Free Wednesdays! A collection of yumminess that is aimed at making it easier for you to create healthy, allergy free foods for you and your family. There is no “clear rule” against including processed ingredients in your submission (but we hope you are moving in that direction :-) ). So…occasionally you will find some “whole foodie undesirables” in the entries. What to do if you see processed foods and don’t want them?:

So—-welcome to Allergy-Free Wednesdays (AFW). AFW is a weekly blog hop where folks can share their allergy-free cuisine, gain knowledge about allergy-related topics/issues, and connect with others living or caring for someone with food allergies. Your weekly submissions will be shared on 7 blogs! Additionally, eachhostess will feature a favorite recipe(s) from the week before. Please visit each blog to see their features! Your hostesses are:

Wondering What You Can Link Up on Allergy Free Wednesday?

Basically anything that is fitting for an allergy free diet in some way (we’re not that strict).
Every week I write my own substutions for the week’d favorites to help you along a bit.
For the complete rules, click here.
Here goes – starting off with my favorites–and you should check out the other hostesses’ posts to see if you were featured there!

My Favorites from Last Week (with substitution ideas)~

Fudgy Sweet Potato Truffles from Eat, Recycle, Repeat
I can’t wait to try these and featured them on my Facebook page recently.  I’d probably use carob powder though to avoid the caffeine.  :)

Sugar-Free Chocolate Candy

Homemade Chocolate Sprinkles from Penniless Parenting
What fun!!  I’ll be trying these with a candida-friendly sweetener like xylitol and probably carob to avoid caffeine!

Homemade Sprinkles

and finally,

Sugar-Free Sugar Cookies (Grain-Free) from Real Food Forager
I’d be subbing in my Homemade Egg Replacer and most likely coconut oil and a candida friendly sweetener like xylitol.

Grain-Free Cookies

and Readers’ Favorites

GAPS Pizza Crust from Gutsy
I’d be trying this with my Egg Replacer or a flax gel.

Grain-Free Pizza Crust

GAPS Lemon Bars by Gutsy
I’d try these without eggs using my Egg Replacer but I’m thinking they’ll be a little flat and for sure not yellow.

Grain-Free Lemon Bars

and Chocolate Chip Cookie Bites (Grain-Free, Vegan, and SF) from Allergy-Free Alaska
I’d be using my Homemade Chocolate /Carob Chips and a candida-friendly sweetener.  Yum!

Grain-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies

I can’t wait to see what you all have this week!

  3. Love the idea of using carob powder! I’ve heard that dried fruit, crushed to a powder in the food processor, works well too.
