Dairy Free Pumpkin Cheesecake, GF SF Thumbprint Cookies, BBQ Veggie Chips, Vegan Mayo and More!

Allergy Free Recipes Welcome back to another week of Allergy Free Wednesdays! A collection of yumminess that is aimed at making it easier for you to create healthy, allergy free foods for you and your family. There is no “clear rule” against including processed ingredients in your submission (but we hope you are moving in that direction :-)). So…occasionally you will find some “whole foodie undesirables” in the entries. What to do if you see processed foods and don’t want them?:

So—-welcome to Allergy-Free Wednesdays (AFW). AFW is a weekly blog hop where folks can share their allergy-free cuisine, gain knowledge about allergy-related topics/issues, and connect with others living or caring for someone with food allergies. Your weekly submissions will be shared on 7 blogs! Additionally, eachhostess will feature a favorite recipe(s) from the week before. Please visit each blog to see their features! Your hostesses are:

Wondering What You Can Link Up on Allergy Free Wednesday?

Basically anything that is fitting for an allergy free diet in some way (we’re not that strict).
Every week I write my own substutions for the week’d favorites to help you along a bit.
For the complete rules, click here.
Here goes – starting off with my favorites–and you should check out the other hostesses’ posts to see if you were featured there!

My Favorites from Last Week (with substitution ideas)~

Pumpkin Lucuma Cheesecake from Sweetly Raw
I would use the crust from this pie (sorry – the photo isn’t that great) to avoid the heavy glycemic index dates.  And would use a candida-friendly sweetener in the pie.  I featured this on my 19 Whole Foods Holiday Recipes recently.  Love it!

Baked BBQ Brussels Sprout Chips from Oatmeal with a Fork
These look great!!  No need to sub anything and I can’t wait to try this!  I think the seasoning would be good on so many things!  I’m thinking about my Kale Chips too!

Vegetable Chips

and finally,

Portuguese Milk Mayonnaise (Vegan) from HealthNut Nation
This blog shows up a little strange on my screen, but there is some really good stuff there.  I would use my Homemade Coconut Milk and a nut that my son isn’t allergic to.  I have a yummy Egg Free Mayo recipe too, but I like the looks of this one!

Dairy-Free Mayonnaise

and Readers’ Favorite

Thumbprint Cookies (GF, DF, & SF) from Sandi’s Allergy-Free Recipes
These look really good!  I would use my Powdered Egg Replacer and a candida-friendly sweetener.  Yum!  Haven’t had thumbprints in years.

Dairy-Free Cookies

I can’t wait to see what you all have this week!

  1. Thanks for mentioning me Adrienne! I always appreciate it!

  2. The thumbprints and brussels sprout chips look delicious! I have a question about a substitution though. What could be substituted for confectioner’s (powdered) sugar? Could you run sucanat through a food processor until it’s ground into a powder?

  3. My pans are Fox Run.

  4. Mine came from a rinky dinky store while I was on vacation. It was something like “fox kitchen.” It was a weird name I thought, but I love them! I do know that right now Bed Bath and Beyond has some out for Christmas…I think it was Wilton, but not sure. I have other wilton pans and like them. Hope that helps!

  5. Thank you for hosting! I linked up gingerbread donuts that are simply delicious!

    • Oh my. I would have to try some substitutions, but those look amazing! Could you recommend a good doughnut pan for me please? I’ve just used a cutter on a stone up til now. Thanks!

  6. Thanks for hosting! Today I’m sharing my love of vintage pyrex dishes!
