A collection of yumminess that’s aimed at making it easier for you to create healthy, allergy-free recipes for you and your family. There is no “clear rule” against including processed ingredients in your submission (but we hope you are moving in that direction :-)). So…occasionally you will find some “whole foodie undesirables” in the entries.
What to do if you see processed foods and don’t want them?:
- White or brown sugar? Sub in whatever works for you. Get help subbing in my post on Substituting Sweeteners in Baking and Cooking
- Chocolate Chips? Use Homemade Chocolate / Carob Chips
Welcome to Allergy-Free Wednesdays (AFW)–a weekly hop where you share your allergy-free cuisine, gain knowledge about allergy-related topics/issues, and connect with others living or caring for someone with food allergies. From gluten-free desserts to vegan recipes and “Top 8 Allergen Free” recipes, we have something for everyone.
Your weekly submissions are shared on 6 blogs. Each hostess will feature a favorite recipe(s) from the week before. Your hostesses are:
- Tessa @ Tessa the Domestic Diva
- Laura @ Gluten Free Pantry
- Nancy @ Real Food Allergy Free
- Amber @ The Tasty Alternative
- Shanti @ Life Made Full
- and–Me :-).
Wondering What You Can Link Up? Anything that’s fitting for an allergy free diet in some way (we’re not that strict). For the complete rules, click here.
PLEASE NOTE: By linking up, you agree that I may make use of any applicable pictures in my Allergy-Free Wednesday posts, and that, by your entering, you are giving permission to use them and/or re-pin them via Pinterest or use on other social media. You also, by entering, guarantee that the picture is not someone else’s work, or else has a broad usage license (for example with stock photography put in public domain).
My Favorites from Last Week (with substitution ideas from me)~
(Note: There might be affiliate links in this post. If you click them, I might make a commission, but your price remains the same and your purchase helps to keep this blog going.)
Coconut Flour Brownies (GF & V) from Vegan Richa
Vegan Nachos with Nut-Free Nacho Cheese from Vegan Richa (again)
Chipotle Burrito Copycat from Simple Life Mom
I would use cauliflower rice for those of us who are grain free right now, and also my Homemade Taco Seasoning.
Can’t wait to try this!
Spiced Plum Scones (paleo & V) from Gluten-Free Vegan Love
Another work of genius from Audrey. I will use a lower carb sweetener for these.
Those plums look like chocolate chips – which would be an interesting addition, I might add :).
Oh – I’d use my Easiest Coconut Milk for sure.
and Readers’ Favorite
Pumpkin French Toast Muffins from What the Fork Food Blog
I’d have to make a bunch of subs here, but these do yummy. I would use my Easiest Coconut Milk and a lower carb sweetener like stevia.
And my Powdered Egg Replacer for the eggs and my Homemade Powered Sugar. Not sure what I would do about the bread….
Which one is YOUR favorite?
Can’t wait to see what you all have to share!
