I hope to be back to my Best Essential Oil series tomorrow, but thought I’d take a little time out from all the excitement to do a little lookback on the best recipes of this past year.
Especially if you’re fairly new to my blog, I am sure you will find some great posts that you’ve missed.
And–if you are fairly new around here, you might not know that all of my recipes are either gluten-free, or gluten-free friendly, sugar free, and almost all have egg and/or dairy-free options.
My son has life-threatening food allergies, and we are all on a gluten-free diet–so I’ve come to specialize in allergy-free foods over the years.
I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as others have this past year!
Taco Seasoning
This recipe is simply great. I am trying to see if I can outdo this one, but so far, the answer is no.
It’s great as a taco seasoning, but also as a food sprinkle for all savory dishes.
Chocolate Almond Chip Coconut Milk Ice Cream
No need to spend $6 or $7 on that dairy-free ice cream at the health food store. Make it yourself!
Homemade Chocolate / Carob Chips
Need an allergy-free option for chocolate or carob chips?
Even if you don’t, these are a breeze to make.
There’s a link in the post to an updated version that tastes and holds up in baking even better.
“Almond Joy” Bars
This is one of our all-time favorites. Try them if you haven’t already!
Bean Fudge
No one has EVER guessed that there was a secret ingredient in here.
And a friend from church asks us to make some for him all the time.
Pakistani “Kima” Beef Curry (with vegan option)
Our favorite meal to make for company.
Almost everyone asks for the recipe for this one! Kid-friendly too!
Homemade Protein Bars
No need to pay for those itty bitty protein bars at the store anymore. Make your own (I think these taste better too!)
Easy Baked Chicken Nuggets (GF, DF, Egg Free)
A super fast meal that makes your family feel like you spent a long time in the kitchen making something special.

Surprise Seasoning Popcorn
Totally addicitive. Everyone asks for the recipe for this popcorn. Happened totally by mistake.
Come read about what happened and enjoy!
Baked Oatmeal / Oatmeal Cake
A super easy overnight soaked breakfast treat. It’s about time we made this again!
Thanks for a great year! I have more recipes and other great stuff to share in 2013. I look forward to sharing it with you!
