As promised in my post on Easiest Homemade Sun-Dried Tomatoes, we have been loving our tomatoes dried.simple.plain. But now I have a fabulous variation for you — well, actually two.
The herb-flavored “sunnies” that I am sharing are the way that we have been making and eating our sun-dried tomatoes for years, but now I also have a wonderful new version that we are thrilled with.
You’re going to love them and you are going to love the savings.
As I mentioned in my other Sun-Dried Tomato post, dried tomatoes typically sell for about $20 per pound, and the jarred version sells for $30 per pound on one site that I checked.
Hmmm…and they aren’t even organic. I wonder what organic ones would cost??
So – what are you waiting for? The details on these super-tasty (and super-frugal) whole food treats await you over on Kelly the Kitchen Kop’s site.
I look forward to hearing what you think about the tomatoes. Let me know!
Oh, by the way, I am for some reason not able to reply to comments over there, so if you have any questions, please pop on over here and I will get right back to you! Sorry about that!
And if you missed yesterday’s post on Kale Chips, you really don’t know what you’re missing. I can barely keep my kids out of them. Yea! Cruciferous veggies that kids (and, er – um-parents) love to eat!
See you over at Kelly’s!

Love the recipe Adrienne. I definitely be giving this one a try.

Another delicious idea I’ll be trying this weekend. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing
This looks like a great idea. I use sundried tomatoes sometimes in my cooking, and I’d love to simply make my own.
Herb=ed tomatoes in your pantry, convenience at it’s best – homemade. Thanks for sharing with the Hearth and Soul hop.
