Loads of information about probiotics. What works, what doesn't, and whether you need them or not.

Hey everyone. Get a load of these quotes from last night’s teleseminar.

“Most people dig their graves with their fork.”

“All disease is nothing more than cellular malnutrition.”

“The weapons of mass destruction are here on our plates.”

“80% of your immune system lives in your gut.”

Those are just some of the more memorable quotes from last night’s teleseminar with probiotics and superfood expert, Czerral.

It was really something else and I was hurriedly typing away (Sorry that my typing was audible in the beginning. I moved the keyboard to be a little more clandestine :).) so I would have notes at my disposal to go back and think over.

And boy, is there a lot to think over. Here is more of what Czerral shared:

More Facts about Gut Health and Probiotics

  • Years ago, we used to get our probiotics from the soil, but modernized farming practices have changed that.
  • Enemies of good gut health include chlorine, fluoride, the birth control pill, antibiotics, and the #1 cause is stress (yikes.  That’s almost impossible to avoid.)  I wrote about most of these in Candida, My Childhood, and 5 Causes of Gut Dysbiosis.)
  •  We have 100 trillion bacteria in our bodies and they live in the gut mainly. When your gut is polluted, then all matter of disease starts.
  • Eating cultured fermented foods assits in digestion of other foods by building up enzymes.
  • Many probiotics on the market are synthetic, or even genetically modified (get the recording to find out how to tell if they are GMO. Hint: one of the most promoted probiotics on the market now is GMO. Blah.)

Personal Thoughts about Health and Probiotics

I can honestly say that I am floored by how well these probiotics are working for me and for my family.

I expected to not be able to tolerate them, but instead, I am sleeping better and my digestion and other issues are improving.

I hope you know by now that my passion to share with you, among other things, natural helps that I believe will make a huge difference in your life and health.

I used to be someone who was headed down the wrong path health-wise–thinking that fat free was a great way to eat (jelly beans were a preferred treat.) And it took a rude awakening of really bad health to show me that I needed to change.

I was clearly in a lot of trouble, and I have made great strides (more on that soon–make sure you are subscribed so you don’t miss it!), but I really think I am headed to a new level of health, thanks to these probiotics.

As my practitioner says, “You have to pay the rent to live in your body.”

Good food and good health supports are like “paying the rent.”

She’s right.

Without health, you don’t have much.

I am choosing to live and fight for myself and my family to have better gut health and to live as vibrantly as possible in the face of a world that increasingly is at odds with good health and free living.

I can choose to say “no” to:

    • modern processed foods (think sugar!)
    • overwork and worry
    • things that eat up my budget unnecessarily

and “yes” to

    • education about natural choices for good health
    • whole, unprocessed and organic (when possible) foods
    • living with less stress
    • an open mind about what I need to do next

so that I can be armed with better information, and have more money to spend on things that will help us heal where we are broken.

  1. Hi Adrienne, I found your posts about fermented foods, and have been trying the Fast Tract. I have had the same kinds of troubles for a long time tolerating any fermented foods and it seems to be going pretty well so far with the Fast Tract. I’m curious if you followed through with your 1 bottle a week experiment and how it went? And what you’ve continued to do with Fast Tract since? Trying to decide if something like that might be beneficial for me. It makes me nervous. 🙂 But I also have a lot of healing to do and am so tired of candida and bacterial problems in my gut. Thanks so much for sharing your story here! So helpful…

    1. I did. I finally had no itching and was really pleased. or just really minimal. I can tell my gut is more resistant now but I am going to be doing more work on leaky gut and more. I hope to update you all as I have real things to update. I am looking into parasites and adrenals more too. Take care. Sorry to hear about your issues.

  2. Thank you so much for responding back and for asking for me on my behalf. We have one of those one-cup fancy coffee makers and my sweet 9 year old son brings me coffee he made for me as I’m waking up. I was thinking that would be perfect for the powdered version but I guess it might kill some of the good stuff. The only other thing I drink is water, and if it changes the taste even slightly I won’t want to drink it. So I guess I’ll try it with my coffee and see if it helps. If not, I’ll have to find another way to get it in my system. Again, thank you! Will order it today!

    1. What I do is (and I’ve heard I am unusual) is I put 1 tsp in my mouth and follow it w/ a water chaser. It’s sour, but that way I get it on a completely empty stomach, which is the best way to do it. It is still good on a full stomach but this way you get the full potency. Hope you like it! 🙂 I find I have more energy w/ it.

        1. :). Glad to have company :). My hubby and kids take it this way as well. Then we lick the spoon to get ALL of the goodness off of it.

  3. I was just referred to this post regarding my stress-induced severe IBS. Do you know if the powdered version can go in coffee? I don’t know if the heat of it would kill it or not.

    1. Yes, I would think it would be OK. It has been tested to endure hot weather temps for two weeks but I will ask.

    2. Here is the first reply I got: “Hot coffee, or iced coffee? Probably best to avoid hot. Iced might be fine, aside from general recommendations to limit caffeine intake. Also, caffeine is listed as one of the things that kills good bugs in our gut in this video – but to which InLiven strains will be super hardy and resistant. All that to say, I suppose it might be ok, but probably really not the best option. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKLgSMWsseM

      How about iced?

    1. Hi Tammy. You need to sign up for the teleseminar and you will get the giveaway sign up that way :).

  4. I did listen to the teleseminar and it was very eye-opening for me. I have also entered into the giveaway. Thank you for your comments. I think I will try the FT first and see how I get along with it and if it makes any difference in my gut.

    1. Sounds like a good idea. I personally think you will be fine w/ the InLiven if grains are an issue for you. But please make whatever decision you think you need to. I assume you are on a low carb diet? Did you check for diastasis?

        1. It’s the splitting of the abdominal muscles after childbirth. I can get you more info soon. I think the 2 working together cause bulging. I have diastasis for sure and if I have candida issues it is bad.

  5. Can you tell me what the serving size is for FastTrack? I currently pay about half for a probiotic that lasts me 30 days, but I”m leary of the InLiven not being gluten-free. I also was wondering if you think it would help my constant stomach bloat? I started getting it about 6 months ago and cannot get rid of the puffiness. It is around my c-sec scar, but I didn’t have the bloat prior and I haven’t been pregnant for 3 years…..help.

    1. It’s 2 tablespoons. I personally think that candida is a HUGE contributor to stomach bloat but of course, I can’t prescribe. How sensitive are you to gluten? Is the 1/2 off taking into account the 20% discount as well?

      1. My current probiotic is about $40/mo. I am so frustrated b/c it is every morning. I used to wake up w/ a flat belly and now it is hardly ever. I have wondered if I have something like candida or SIBO. If I were to get the Fast Track, how much would I need to use to start with? How many servings are in the bottle? As far as I know, I do not have a gluten allergy, but I can tell that I don’t feel good after eating grains.

        1. I don’t eat well after eating grains either if I go overkill. The InLiven and FT are both predigested so I wouldn’t think of them as grain foods – did you listen to the teleseminar, by any chance? There was info about this in there plus you get a coupon for 20% off your order and you can enter the givewaway — today’s the last day :).

I am taking the huge dose b/c I can tell my gut is not in good shape. It’s really up to you. What you think you need and what you can afford. Some folks have both in the house and take the FT when they need an extra punch. I started out slow on both. And I had die off from both of them.

          1. Hi! I am very interested in this article even though it’s 4 years old, I believe. Has there been anything new developing as of lately? Are you the same Adrienne that wrote the studies on Essential Oils? Also what does the term die-off mean? Thanks!
            Sandi Campbell

  6. I had been debating about trying a different pro biotic or drinking and eating fermented foods. I placed my order with miessence this morning. Thanks!

  7. Wow, we are on very similar journeys!! So glad to have found you…through someone leaving this link in my blog comments. Now following you on Facebook and Pinterest. THANKS for sharing!!

  8. Hi Adrienne,
Just wanted to update you as I went to the dr today. He did blood work to see if something could be found. I will await the results.
He did not think probiotics would bother my Crohn’s Disease but everyone is different.
    Have a good weekend!

    1. Thanks for telling me. After listening last night, my “gut” is that this brand would be fine and if anything, it would help. Were you able to listen in ?

          1. Oh No. My computer server will not allow me to confirm the link. I have no idea why but the same thing happens when I try and receive blogs via Feedburner.

                  1. My son just switched us from Firefox because the computer would freeze on occasion 🙂 Have a good night!

                    1. Hmm… Internet explorer or Safari? If you know the error message you get, you could check the internet to see why you are getting it.

  9. Thank you, thank you, thank you soooo much for having this teleseminar, Adrienne. It was very enlightening, and I hope to be purchasing from you soon.

    1. Glad you enjoyed it. I thought what Czerral shared was really something. And you don’t purchase from me–just through my site. Everything comes from Miessence. If you are thinking about the discount, remember the 20% off is over 6/8. 🙂

  10. Adrienne ~ I’d love to give these a try but am concerned about the grains in the one product. My gut is a mess and can’t tolerate any grains right now – what are your thoughts? I’d also love to know what TV thinks of these products since I’m currently on that program too 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing!

    1. Hi Heather. Did you hear the teleseminar? The grains are all predigested. In the InLiven, in one 5 g serving, there are 2.8 g of carbs, w/ .3 of that being natural sugars, and 2 g of protein. In the Fast Tract, there are 1.2 grams of carbs in each serving. I did run it by TV and she was only concerned about the issues I have regarding fermented foods. Are you mainly looking at the Fast Tract? I ask b/c the InLiven doesn’t have as many grains.

I think that the servings are so small that it isn’t an issue, but of course, I can’t medically advise.

Honestly, I didn’t even get concerned about the grain amount since I don’t eat many typically and the serving size is small.

      Let me know your thoughts.

      1. The company doesn’t happen to have a sample portion for one to try? I’d like to try the InLiven, but if I would react negatively (beyond die off), that’s a lot of money to toss 🙂 I’m sure you had the same concerns!

I didn’t have time to listen last night – I am currently trying to listen right now!

  11. Very informative. Thanks for offering it. I’ve just placed my first order. My hopes is that it will help me in the area of colon health. I’ve had several pre-cancerous polys removed over the past 8 years. Thanks again.

    1. You are so welcome. Charlotte, I hope you’ll come back here or send an email and tell me what you think. Bless you.

  12. Yes, there were many excellent quotes! I’m hoping and looking forward to trying the Fast Track first because of my very compromised gut. Thanks again!

        1. InLiven isn’t a multi-vitamin–it’s a superfood that is fermented. So it is a good boost of nutrition plus probiotics. I personally don’t take a multi b/c I am on a specific supplement plan for balancing my body and for adrenal health.

          1. For someone who is not on any special plan, do you think this be used in place of a multivitamin (even though I know this product is not a multi)?

            1. Hmm…I don’t know the vitamin content so I can’t speak to that, but I could try to find out. Did you see Miessence’s other superfoods? The 3 pack was specially formulated to meet so many needs that we have nutritionally. I take all of them b/c and love them all. The Berry Radical is a great pick me up in the afternoon and the Deep Green is great for alkalinizing. Let me know what you think. I buy them in packs of 3 and with the rep discount on top they are more reasonable. I get about 53 days out of the Berry Radical and 30+ out of the Deep Green (just b/c I take the whole serving of that since I feel I need more in the way of greens.)

  13. I tried the no-fat/low-fat diet craze two years ago. I was 44, and went to the dentist for a cleaning. NEVER in my life had I had a cavity–and had previously been to the doctor the year before. I ended up with a mouth riddled with cavities! I now have tooth sensitivity due to all the work they claimed I needed–if I had been more educated, I would’ve told them not to bother, I will “cure” it myself.

Now, I take FCLO and butter oil daily. I brush with coconut oil toothpaste I make. I sometimes oil pull–should daily but don’t. My teeth still hurt from cold and hot, but not nearly as bad, and they feel like they are tighter in the gums, and harder.

    1. Sorry to hear about your teeth. I am looking at something for sensitivity. Hope to share…. What do you think improved your teeth the most?
