Welcome back to another week of Allergy Free Wednesdays! A collection of yumminess that is aimed at making it easier for you to create healthy, allergy free foods for you and your family. There is no “clear rule” against including processed ingredients in your submission (but we hope you are moving in that direction :-)). So…occasionally you will find some “whole foodie undesirables” in the entries. What to do if you see processed foods and don’t want them?:

My Favorites from Last Week (with substitution ideas)~

This week there were soooo many amazing recipes to choose from (especially for those of us with a sweet tooth–ahem–) that you really should go back to last week’s allergy free recipes and take a look.  It was one of those weeks where I was struggling about which recipes to highlight.  So you  know there were some really good ones!  Recipes like….Hazelnut Candy Bars, Dipped Cookie Dough Balls, Cookie Dough Dessert, Paleo Carrot Cake…and more! 

Heavenly Soft & Chewy Granola Bars (GF & V) from Tessa the Domestic Diva
I would use my Homemade Chocolate / Carob Chips and a candida-diet-friendly sweetener and would add more nuts or chocolate chips instead of the dried fruit.

Chocolate-Covered Cookie Dough Cups (grain free) from One Sweet Heat
I would use my Homemade Chocolate / Carob Chips instead of the Baker’s Chocolate and again, a candida-diet-friendly sweetener.

and finally,

Roasted Chili Lime Nuts from My Sister’s Pantry
No need to sub here.  But if you haven’t seen my Chocolate / Carob Coated Nuts or Seasoned Nuts, you should!

and Readers’ Favorite (this week there was a tie, so we have two)

Luscious Lemon Torte (grain free, DF, & SF) from My BIG FAT Grain-Free Life
I’d use a candida-diet-friendly sweetener and I would try my Powdered Egg Replacer, but I’ve tried that before in a bean cake and it just didn’t work. Sigh.

and finally,

Why I NEVER Eat Fair Trade Chocolate from Real Food Forager
I don’t eat it because of the caffeine (due to adrenal fatigue) and the sugar :-).

  1. I’m sorry to hear that your Valentine’s Day was not so great. Neither was mine actually. Let’s hope that Spring will have some nice surprises for us in store 😉 Your Almost Reese’s do look fab. I’ll probably end up experimenting with tummy-friendly pancakes again…

    • Maybe make something nice today. They do taste great. I’m not even feeling well today and it really seems like it’s “one thing after another” this week. Oh well. Trying to think positively and trust God. Otherwise I think I’d make a whole batch and eat them all…of just about anything :).

    • I had a really not so great Valentine’s Day so hopefully I will make something today. I am thinking about my Almost Reese’s candies and my kids want me to try SF Gelatin hearts. Maybe you can today?

    Today I shared Preparing Beef Heart and Heart Kebobs Recipe. I originally made this recipe after we butchered our first steer but now I purchase beef heart from a grass fed beef farmer locally – it is just that good!
