This is the final post in the “Top 10 Posts of 2012″ series.

So–what’s left?
Over the past four months or so, I’ve shared with you all on Facebook a number of times that my son has been dealing with pretty severe anxiety. And you all have been very helpful offering recommendations. Thank you! If you haven’t “liked” Whole New Mom on Facebook, please do join us. It’s a very supportive community over there.
You see, my son suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism. And Asperger’s almost always comingles (goes together) with anxiety.
Over the past 5 months, his anxiety has increased to the point of being well—really bad. Mainly it’s been anxiety about his life threatening food allergies.
It’s been hard some days to handle it.
To wonder if we can keep going.
To wonder if he’ll get better.
I’m back with another installment of Whole New Mom Answers Your Questions.
I so love hearing all of your thoughts and questions. I feel honestly inadequate to answer them sometimes, but I will for sure do my best.
And I hope that all of you super sharp readers will chime in with more information on all of the great questions that were asked…
So…..here goes with your great questions from this week!

Sounds alarmist, doesn’t it?
I almost can’t believe myself that I am writing that title.
But then–life has a way of teaching us lessons that we really didn’t want to learn.
Metal poisoning is one of them for me.
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a Q&A post, but finally here’s another one.
This week, we’re tacking questions on Eczema, Sunscreens, Natural Sweeteners, and more.
I’ve so wanted to be able to be a resource to others and just love how the health posts have turned into a help for so many (and how I’ve been helped by so many of your comments as well!
My family has been through so much from:
We’ve also been through a lot financially–mainly trying to “make it” on a single income (that is well below six figures
), with a special needs child, with medical expenses and well . . . things aren’t getting cheaper now, are they?
Anyway, I’ve always had a passion to share, but it’s a lot more efficient to share on the internet than just be word of mouth.
So Whole New Mom was born.
My desire with this kind of post is to field questions on any topic (within reason
) that you might like to ask:
I can’t promise that I’ll know the answer, but I’ll try my best
.
And then all of you can just chime in the comments section and we can all help each other out.
So–ready? Set? Let’s go!
(Oh–and you can e-mail your questions to me at wholenewmom {at} gmail {dot} com. Just put “Whole New Mom Answers Your Questions” or “WNM Answers” in the Subject area so it catches my eye more quickly!)
Today’s questions from readers like you are….
Back with another installment of my Q&A segment. I’m changing the title for this week – what do you think about it?
The main reason that I started my blog was to be a resource to others.
My family has been through so much regarding food allergies, autism, adrenal fatigue, and more – and we’ve had to made adaptations to our diets numerous times in an attempt to make ourselves healthier.
And we’ve also been through a lot financially–mainly trying to “make it” on a single income (that is well below six figures
), with a special needs child, with medical expenses and well . . . things aren’t getting cheaper now, are they?
So as my life went on, I found myself wanting to share with others what I knew and what I had experienced .
But it’s hard to do that with just your mouth.
So Whole New Mom was born.
Recently I’ve been getting more questions in my inbox and on my Facebook page, so I thought I’d give a weekly Q&A-type post a try.
Let’s see how it goes.

It’s hard to eat a healthy diet, isn’t it?
Or am I the only one who struggles? (Please tell me I’m not!)
Today, I am sharing over at The Better Mom a way to tackle this problem. Well, really WAYS.
And I promise – they’re all doable.
Because we all need help getting our acts together in the healthy eating department.
Me included.
So come join me over at The Better Mom by clicking here. Let me know your thoughts!
I’m not one to trust in alternative remedies easily.
Really, I’m not.
However, when one is really sick and mainstream medicine isn’t helping, one starts looking elsewhere.
Eek!
What a mess! This is what can happen when you spend a lot of time:
Ahem.
But really. Messes happen. For you too? I sure hope so.
If you find yourself in a real mess sometimes, then help is on the way.
Read the rest of my post over at The Better Mom to see exactly what I have in store for you.
(Hint: It might not be what you expect!)
And you can also find out the answer to the most pressing question of the day: “Is that picture really of your home, Adrienne?”

Why bother with a coffee substitute when the real thing tastes so good?
Well, there’s a lot of debate out there about whether or not coffee is healthy for you.
For folks without health challenges, there may be some reason to think it is OK, but for anyone with candida or adrenal issues or copper toxicity, I would say that getting off of coffee asap would be a good thing.
We can touch on that in another post, but today I would like to share with you a naturally caffeine-free alternative that tastes great and is good for you as well!
I personally got off of coffee about a year ago. It wasn’t easy and I will share with you how to do it at some point. But one thing that really helped was having another great tasting option that I could have every morning instead of that “cup of Joe.”
Ever wonder why it’s called “Joe”? Me too. Lots of theories out there on the web. Not sure which one is true.
